Alias felt the light headed feeling start to drift away, his high thoughts coming back to earth at a very fast rate, eyebrows going down as they did.
His head was hurting after Valentine's toying with his mind, the pheromones screweing up his sense. It was like a sort of hangover, but Alias knew that it would pass soon.
He had been in this situation not long before.
He drew back his lips in a terrible snarl, his hackles flying up as rage, embarressment and loathing coursed through his veins. Looking at her, laying exhausted, at any other time he would have taken pity on her. But his pity had long since been worn down.
Not even bashing an eyelid as Smoke gave a cry of his beloved's name, Alias squeezed his eyes shut, stamped his foot and gave a furious bellow of pure frustration.
He started to pace from one side of the cave to another, unable to find words strong enough to shout in her face right now. He stopped and swung himself around so swiftly it hurt his ankles, thrusting his face near to Valentine's and took in a long breath.
"What the bloody Hell do you think you're bloody playing at?!"
Alias roared, deciding his favourite word would come in useful for this particular moment.
"What, you think making a fool out of me the first time makes it okay to lead me here a second time? Unlike some I have a responsibilty. You have lead me away from the wolves that are in my care while they are on my land. If something happened now, on my land it would be my fault! What are you even doing on my land?"
He took another breath.
"You have no right to be here! You have no right to have done anything that you just did. What did you gain? What is that wolf's mate gonna think, the one that just left? You could have broken someones heart, shredded someone's relationship and happiness. How can you do that? Doesn't that make you feel anything? ANTHING?!"
Kahana heard Shaylee's voice and obediantely hoauled herself out of the hole, with a little help from Faya, who pulled on Kah's scruff a little to help her up the slippery mud slope.
Kahana smiled at Faya gratefully and nudged Shaylee in a friendly way before trotting towards her brother, her tail wagging, despite the dismal weather. She felt comforted by a lick evidently from Spark, and Kahana gave a little growl telling Spark how thankful she was for the reassurance.
She heard Spark's words to Ohtar, however, and felt her smile slip. Extremely nervously, Kahana backed away a little. If Spark disliekd the wolf so, there must be something wrong with him. Kahana decided to keep well away, and she felt herself shift uneasily as she scented yet another approaching.
If only Alias were here to help them out.
Kahana flicked her ears. But he wasn't. He'd left and that was that. The cub suddenly found her against a large tree, standing not far from the very cave that the others were enlargening.
The leaves it had shed were gathered in a comfortable heap at it's trunk, and Kahana felt an unexpected wave of tiredness hit her like a wall. The day had exhausted her. It was hard to believe that only a week ago, their parents had died. It felt like years.
Her eyes drooping a great deal, Kahana plucked up the energy to turn around in a couple of circles, trampling down the leaves, before she flopped down on her front, curling her dripping tail over her face and shutting her eyes to the world, gently falling into sleep as the endless rain lashed down apon her.
Sacrind grinned and nodded aprovingly idea, giving Faya a new look, one of respect for hers was the idea of making the hole bigger. Wagging his tail a little to her, he returned Spark's smile and followed her up to Ohtar, raising an eyebrow in amusement as the electricity ball was flunbg at him.
His eyes flashed with slight concern that Ohtar would harm Spark in defense, but he found his attention caught by the approaching stranger.
Sacrind's hackles bristled warily and he walked forward to meet the wolf as he came, slightly taken aback at the forward nature. In truth, the answer to the wolf's question of "Room for one more" would be no, but Sacrind foresaw that the wolf could be useful for the digging.
"Sacrind."
The cub said in a clear voice by way of introdutcion, lifting his head almost dominantly, but merely because he suddenly felt responsible, for he was, apart from Ohtar, the only male left.
He looked around to see his sister slump down in the leaves and he smiled, before looking up at Cassius again, eyes solemn, silently saying just one thing...
He wakes her up and he dies.
Sacrind knew it had been exhausting for Kahana, her remaining senses on fire as she tried to take in all that was happening around her. Sleep was perfect. It was a good thing.
Sacrind shook his head as his own eyes started to itch. He had work to do. He had to look after Spark and guard Kahana, as he had done for a wee, every night, only sleeping sparingly, waking up every hour to scout the area for possible danger.
Young Sacrind had had to grow up fast.
So now, he felt older and important as he faced Cassius, his face filled with a cubbish pride at adressing a stranger so.
Faya looked around as Shaylee nudged her and smiled, watching as Spark popped up first, then Kahana, leaning down to give the blind pup some help.
When both pups were safely out, she leaned down to do more back-breaking digging, though she paused as she also saw Kahana flop down, nose wrinkling in concern. The almost bare branches of the tree bore no shelter from the rain as she slept.
Faya straightened herself and trotted swiftly over to the sleeping cub, stepping carefully over her, quietly so she would not wake her, before she dipped her maw and started to brush the damp leaves over the little body of Kahana, rising and falling gently, the breathing deeper.
It wasn't much, but it was something, at least.
Faya paused as she saw Spark's attack on Ohtar, and she returned to Shaylee's side, a little tense as the same concerns Sacrind had felt pressed on her mind. She returned to her digging stubbornly, though her eyes were fixed on the pup and the male wolf, muscles tight and ready to rush forward at any time.
The young she-wolf felt very uneasy, though her job at enlargening the den at least took her mind off him...
She lowered her eyes for a second. It was hard not to think about him, but he obviously didn't find it hard to forget her. He hadn't even looked back...
Faya started to stab at the mud savagely, pulling it behind her with such force it landed a little way behind her as she tried to work off her rage. She lifted her eyes to Ohtar and Spark again, though her vicious attack on the den made her vision a bit unclear, as her whole body was jerking as her paws dragged and flicked mud through her splayed back legs.
Ohtar swerved to avoid the ball of electricity, though it hit his thigh with some force, and he felt his leg reflexively jerk upwards, as though he had stood on something sharp, and it twitched a little as the sparks ran over him, spreading from that point.
He had given a grunt of surprise and some pain, glaring down at the cub when he opened his eyes again, for they had closed as the electirity came toward him.
"How about this."
He snapped angrily, eyes dark with incredulous fury.
"How about you turn your little tail around, find a rock somewhere, crawl under it and stay there."
He would have said "and rot" but that was a little harsh.
He spat some mud from his mouth that Shaylee had shot at him while she was digging, and he threw her a glare as filfthy as his voice had been as he replied to Spark.
"And you can grow up too."
He growled, though calmer than before, as he tried to control his temper. It was hard but there was no point getting worked up. He sat down stubbornly. Go away? Make me!
He looked at Cassius, but turned his back again. The newcomer was of no interest to him. Ohtar lay down with his head in the paws, thinking how he hated this rain, this world, this pack.
Was Faya worth it?
Of course she was. As she took out her anger on the den, she looked particularly beautiful, her eyes flashing in determination, fixed on him, much to his pleasure.
She'd learn to like him. She'd have to. It wasn't as if her precious Smoke was here to protect her, no, was it?

o{ Valentine }o
At the sudden breach of distance between her and Alias, Valentine gave him a smug smirk, leaning forwards slightly as though to apologize to him after his snarled words, though, instead, she drew her tongue almost lazily across the bridge of his muzzle, giving a harsh bark of laughter- and sounding truly evil.
"Of course I don't care about breaking hearts. Heartbreaker- thats me, babe."
Coy smile occupying her expression, she blinked at the sudden sight of Smoke skidding back to the entrance of the cave- he had back-tracked back to the cave in order to request the help of Alias. Smiling amusedly to Smoke, only earning herself a disgusted glare, Valentine laughed, pulling herself to her feet and turning her head to look at her body, exhaustion suddenly gone, but smug smirk remaining.
"Look, babe, I honestly don't give a crap about the others." o{ Smoke }o
Snarling furiously towards Valentine at her words, a primal method of telling her to shut the hell up, before glancing across to Alias, ears flattening down as his muddied figure moved swiftly towards Alias, tail tucking placidly between his legs- a sign that the earlier disrespect he'd shown, was simply because of the pheromones Val had been releasing.
"Uh- sir; I can't find...I can't find the others. They-they've moved or something, but the rain is blocking their scent."
Glaring briefly to Valentine, feeling as though his head was about to explode due to the 'hangover'-type sensation rattling around in his senses, Smoke looked back to Alias, expression hopeful, in that Alias would aid him, but terrified- in case something had happened to the other females, Faya especially, and the pups, whilst he had been under the 'charm' of Valentine. o{ Shaylee }o
"Or you can get the hell away from us right now."
Shay's voice was a low snarl of absoloute fury, ceasing to dig and instead rounding on Ohtar, figure standing proudly and protectively above Spark.
Tail whipping agitatedly against the air, muddied figure shifting closer so that her muzzle was mere inches from him, she snarled again, jaws snapping open, shut, on the air just in front of his nose- hopefully, it would make him think about leaving.
"You ever speak to her again like that, and I will personally rid the world of your lame existance."
Shay snarled, her voice deathly silent, jerking back instinctively at his words for her to 'grow up', though told herself firmly it wasn't an order, and sighed happily-enough when no pain shot through her skull.
Seeing Ohtar flop down on the ground, obviously not going anywhere, Shaylee gave a furious snarl, leaping forwards at him, claws pressing sharply onto his back, tail whipping out towards Spark as a sign for the youngster to, well- electrocute Ohtar. o{ Spark }o
Lips riding up at Ohtar's words, her ears flattening as she, too, told herself that his words were not an order, before, a flash of white-brown above her indicated that Shay had leapt forth- onto Ohtar's back.
Giving a burst of laughter, as the scene before her was so very amusing, Spark shook her head giddily, before leaping forwards herself, body hurtling at Ohtar's, feeling the charge zap through him- though not, thankfully, into Shay, who had leapt off of him at the right moment. Walking alongst Ohtar's lying back as though he was nothing but a plank of wood, feeling the electricity fall from her and onto him with every step she took, Spark smirked, leaping off and racing quickly away, hurtling beneath Faya's digging figure, smiling innocently up at the adult. o{ Shaylee }o
Backing away, quickly, also, Shay hurried back to Sacrind and Kahana, standing protectively above Kah, and just behind Sacrind, gaze now on Cassius, who, despite having given no threatening actions as of yet, she, naturally, didn't trust yet.
Preparing herself to leap forward and rip him to shreds at a moment's notice, Shaylee gave a low, warning growl to the male, eyes snapping between Sacrind and him. o{ Cassius }o
Eyebrows rising up at the male pup's abrupt manner, Cassius followed Sacrind's gaze to the now-sleeping Kahana, smiling as innocently as he could, despite the fact that he felt like leaping forwards and towering above the pup, forcing her to dream what he wanted.
Supressing the urge, he glanced across towards Ohtar as the two sisters carried out their rather brutal attack on him, muzzle twitching amusedly, before he looked quite-solemnly back to Sacrind, placid smile painted on his mug.
"Nice to meet you, Sacrind."
He murmured, distractedly glancing to Faya now as the electrical pup hurtled beneath the digging adult's figure, before looking back towards Sacrind and raising his gaze enough to look at the white, though the mud had made her coat a filthy brown, adult as Shay released a furious snarl in his direction.
Ears twitching innocently, he lifted his muzzle towards the falling rain, dropping from the heavens above like stones, before looking back to Faya rather curiously- itching to get inside of the cave, and get dry.
"Want me to help with the digging, sir?"
He asked Sacrind, though his gaze was still on Faya, the final word of his sentence said quite playfully, in an attempt to lighten the darkening mood hovering around the area- which was irritating the Bringer of Dreams and Nightmares more than just a little.

Alias pulled away in pure digust as he felt her tongue run over his muzzle, and he shuddered angrily as she repeatedly called him "Babe", his lip curling about how she claimed not to care the slightest about the others.
Alias swung his head angrily a couple of times, glancing around as Smoke appeared once again, listening impatiently to his words, giving a growl of frustration. He turned his face, wrinked with rage, to Valentine once more.
"Well, guess what Missy? I do care."
He snarled before turning his back without a word and running to the mouth of the cave, brushing against Smoke as he did in a silent way of ordering him to follow.
It didn't Alias long to find the clearing that they had all been before, automatically sniffing the air but catching nothing. He thought helplessly, worry for them all flashing in his mind. He was seriously wondering about his job as alpha. I mean, all this was just too much!
He looked on the ground and could see the faint scuds and scuffles of pawprints, seeing the deeper ones where he had fought Scythe, the lighter, hardest to see ones of the females and pin pricks in the wet dirt that were the cubs, all filled with water and extremely hard to see.
Somehow, they needed to find the pawprints and, somehow, they needed to follow them. Alias growled to himself. They could be here for a while...
Ohtar had merely rolled his eyes at Shaylee's words, pleasantly pleased at annoying her so much. His tail gave a twitch, but it stuck out stiff and straight the next instant, as he realised in shock that ... that Shaylee was on his back?
What was he, a carrousell ride?
He gave a loud snarl as her claws dug into his back, preparing to roll over and throw her off, when the weight of her suddenly left his body, and another, lighter one arrived.
But he didn't think about the weight.
With every step she took, he felt sharp stabs of agony slice through him, over and over again, and by her second step he found himself digging his claws into the earth sharply, bellowing and roaring in pain, screams added in his shouts, agonised whimpers shooting from his maw.
Finally, Spark jumped off his body and he flopped down, panting extremely hard, his fur standing on end as though he'd been electrocut-....oh .... well, you get it.
When he had gotten over the sheer shock and pain of it all, the stabs now just painful throbs dying away in his blood, he leapt to his feet with a furious snarl and rushed after Spark, his only intention to rip out her guts, no matter how much it would hurt his mouth.
Spark dashed under Faya and Ohtar, who didn;t slow down his run, leaned his neck down so he could reach under the she-wolf and snatch that enfuriating cub into his mouth...
Oh, did he have another thing coming!
Faya had looked up to see Ohtar screaming in pain, shock all over her face, though she soon found a smile stretch over her eyes. She watched in amazement as Spark hurtled underneath her, an innocent grin on her face, and Faya couldn't help but grin back.
But when raising her eyes again, she saw Ohtar charging towards her, jaws open, leaning down to take Spark, fury in his eyes. She felt fury flash through her own eyes.
She'd never thought it of him! Of all the lowly things he'd ever done, this had to be the lowest. Faya's own jaws opened instantly, and she ran forward a little, or else Ohtar would have the advantage of his run.
They met, and Faya, who's head had not be lowered, too late found out she had left her throat exactly where his jaws would close, so she found the need to tear him apart more urgent than ever.
She'd been desperate to do this for ages...
She gave a very loud yelp as his jaws reflexively closed around her throat, though he ripped away immediately, and she took her chance.
She bit down on the back of his neck, near the top of his spine, and dragged her jaws through as much as she could, twisting aand jerking her entire body.
She pulled her jaws out for a second, just to shout something in rage.
"Leave her alone! You fight me, and me only!"
And she resumed her frenzied attack on the wolf who had loved her since the day he'd laid eyes on her. She couldn't help thinking just that one little thing...
I want Smoke...
Sacrind looked around and couldn't help but give a laugh as he saw Spark dancing over Ohtar's back, his tail starting to wag furiously, sending arcs of rain all over the place.
His heart stopped as he watched Ohtar chase after Spark, and all seemed chaos as Shaylee kept watch on him while standing over Kahana, Faya started to fightOhtar, leaving no one at all digging at the den, all forgotten.
Sacrind looked at Cassius with his eyebrows raised.
"Uh ... yes, I think you helping digging would be a pretty good idea..."
He said hopelessly, before flicking his ears in a way that simply said, excuse me, and he hurtled towards Faya and Ohtar, looking like he was all up for leaping inbetween them.
Oh comeon, how mad do you think he is?
At the last moment, he skirted around the fighting pair and slithered to a halt beside Spark, panting and looking a little frightened.
"You okay? The bastard didn't get you, did he?"
He scanned her up and down, just as he had done when he found her lost. Nothing seemed to be wrong, but under the volts, who could be sure?
Kahana awoke with a start to the noise of screaming and she leapt to her feet, swaying a little for she was extremely groggy and still very tired.
She looked around fearfully, sleep making it hard to know how far or close the sound was, or from who it was coming from.
"Sacrind?"
Kahana whimpered quietly, casting around for her brother. It wasn't long, however, before the comforting smell of Shaylee was close, and Kahana felt the drill of rain cease. Shaylee was above her.
She was about to give a welcome yip, but Shaylee suddenly snarled and Kahana shied down, the leaves Faya had covered with falling from her body. The cub buried her head in them, burrowing herself as deep as she could go, as she had the last time Shaylee had given a terrifying snarl.
But this was no fault of Shaylee's. Kahana had no idea what danger the wolf was snarling at. She could hear a fight and did not know who was fighting or how close they were, and she had heard screaming, which had ceased now.
Kahana was very scared, confused and lost, and the damp leaves around her body was comforting, as she felt she blocked out the world around her to be lost in a world somewhere away, under the leaves, as though they provided comfort and shelter.
She curled up underneath them, her eyes shut, though why I cannot say, nose wrinkled as she waited for it all to stop, to be able to emerge from her leafy refuge once more.
It was times like these when Kahana hated herself and the way she was born.

o{ Valentine }o
Smiling in a butter-wouldn't-melt manner towards the two males, as Alias left and Smoke followed, Val flopped back, completely exhausted, onto the ground, body relaxing visibly, paws tucking delicately beneath her frame, eyes sliding shut and breathing slowing to a steady, light rythm, body rolling over slightly, onto her side, as her exhausted thoughts vanished, and instinct kicked in- in the form of sleep.
For, within seconds, the exhaustion that had been created by her pheromones being accessed for so long, made Valentine fall asleep, her figure seemingly angelic, and most definitely exquistively delicate, as she slumbered. o{ Smoke }o
Following Alias right away, not even giving one backwards glance to Valentine, Smoke gave a snarl of anguished despair, trying unsuccessfully to find the footsprints in the sodden earth. Tail falling dismally between his legs, he gave another snarl, this one furious, before lifting his gaze heavenwards, as though asking for a sign from the overcast clouds above.
A sudden yell made him start, lips drawing back instinctively, until he recognised why it was so familiar; although he couldn't hear the words, he had heard the scream of his beloved; as she had shouted furiously at Ohtar.
A gutteral snarl flung at Alias, as a sign tat he knew where the others were, Smoke hurtled towards the voice of his beloved, a thunderous snarl, the loudest he had ever done, flung towards the area, as a sign he was on his way- and boy, you better believe that. o{ Spark }o
Yelping loudly, and shying back instinctively at the sudden sight of Ohtar lunging towards her, Spark flashed a thoroughly-grateful look to Faya, all thoughts of dislike banished from her mind, as the female adult hurtled at Ohtar, stopping the male from killing the quivering figure of the black-and-yellow pup.
Looking to Sacrind as he slowed in his race towards her, Spark gave a soft smile, sparks ceasing to fly from her small body, as she pressed her muzzle into the thick, soft fur of his neck, seeking solace in his youthful figure.
"No, he didn't. And, I'm fine- but, we shouldn't just stand here..."
The rain hammering down furiously at her body, making her shiver, she nudged Sacrind gently, indicating Shay with a flick of her muzzle, and, after casting one fairly-freaked-out glance to Ohtar and Faya as the female shouted at him, scurried silently towards Shaylee, curling up in a ball beside Kah, hoping to reassure the hidden-beneath-the-leaves pup with her presence. o{ Shaylee }o
Head shifting down towards the younglings beneath her, Shay glanced, startled, towards an easterly direction as a thunderous snarl resounded around the clearing- Smoke's, although she didn't know it.
Back arching slightly so as to further safeguard the two pups beneath her, gaze 'pon Sacrind and the fighting wolves beside him now, totally ignoing the male wolf in front of her, Shay cast a sharp look to the male pup- her meaning clear; for him to hurry on back, as she couldn't well protect him if he got caught in the crossfire whilst she was on the other side of the clearing.
Tail swiping agitatedly at the air b'hind her, Shay glanced briefly to Cassius, remembering him, but deciding that he wasn't her main concern, and, instead, looking back to Sacrind, worry glimmering in her gaze; as she couldn't well leave Kah and Spark exposed in order to race over and pull him away from most-probable death, now could she? o{ Cassius }o
Watching the story of these wolves unfold before him, Cassius gave a rather nervous flick of his ears, hoping that he wouldn't have to get totally involved, before flashing a remotely-curious glance to Kah, and sighing inwardly after seeing that she was no longer asleep.
Keeping silent, the male padded swiftly over to the hole in the ground, tail flicking amusedly, yet agitatedly, as his lean, masculine figure began to systematically fling the mud back behind him; forming a rather neat pile behind his paws.
He was much closer to Sacrind, now, and was actually feeling a strange admiration for Sacrind- thus, he would most likely leap towards the pup if the fighting wolves came to close, and tower above the small male if such problems arose- much in the same manner as Shay was standing over Kahana and Spark.
Returning his hard, aqua gaze back to the task at hand -er, paw-, he continued with the digging, thrusting mud up and behind him, making the hole larger by the second- soon, 'twould be large enough for the larger of the two adult females to fit into, and, a few seconds later, it would undoubtedly be large enough for he himself, and Ohtar also, to get easily into and out of.

Alias, whos mind was reeling at the hopelessness of the situation, did not hear Faya's shout, and so was thouroughly confused when Smoke shot him a snarl?
Surely .... surely he couldn't be blaming Alias for all of this?
Alias watched, astounded, as Smoke took off and reality clicked quickly into his mind. Of course! Maybe Smoke remembered something, perhaps he had caught them moving off and suddenly remembered the direction they ahd took.
Whatever it may be, Alias was soon hurtling after Smoke, tearing forwards in the general direction the other wolf was running.
It did not take a huge amount of time for him to burst into the area that the other wolves stood, and he could feel his eyes close briefly in exasperation.
He leaves them for a little while and when he returns, they give him the gift of chaos? Charming. Couldn't they have /tried/ to keep themselves in order?
But Alias knew he had no hope of calming this havoc, not now it had rached its peak. They had to sort it out for themselves.
He looked over to the wolf he had not yet layed eyes on, Cassius, who was digging, goodness knows why. Alais walked slowly towards him, deciding he was best asking this wolf what the Hell was going on.
Pulling his neck up violently, Ohtar was blinded by his anger. If he had known it was Faya, of course he would not even dream of doing what he did next.
He swung his head to the left and slammed it hard against Faya's own, before closing his jaws firmly around her neck and throwing her to the floor, her feminine fighting of course a lot more fragile and weaker than his own, masculine rough and tough nature.
He was well used to this.
Still with his jaws around her neck, he stamped heavily on her chest and sank his claws in, snarling as best he could whilst keeping his grip on her.
He forze there for a moment, his jaws slowly, ever so slowly, closing tighter and tighter.
That's right...it'll all be over soon.
In his anger, Ohtar was doing the unspeakable.
It is not, however, untypable.
And so I may tell you what it is.
He was drawing his fangs together .... he was going to kill.
Faya's instinct collapsed as her jaws were wrenched from his neck, and she watched stars fly infront of her eyes as hs head slammed hers, a heavy ache firing up inside her skull.
Staggering to the side a little, she had no warning when he closed his jaws on her neck, and her legs collapsed underneath her, leaving her lying on her side, tense, but helpless.
His jaws were closing, the pain in her neck was unbearable, a pain in her chest adding to her agony. Was this it? Was she going to die?
There had only ever been one time when the world had closed around her, when she had felt that blissful floating feeling and when her heart beat began to slow down.
When her body was preparing for death.
Deep down in that river, a wolf clutching her scruff.
Tears fallign from her closed eyes, Faya plucked up the energy to open her maw and let out a shrill scream, struggling feebly. At least the lightening pup was safe ... that was a blessing.
Faya found herself hoping that the cub would like her now, for all the use it would ever be. It felt worse than dying to be hated.
She relaxed a little as Ohtar's jaws came ever closer together.
Smoke? Where are you now...
Sacrind looked around at Cassius and, not seeing Alias's approach, darted around the calmer fight now, the obvious winner standing above Faya. Sacrind gave a whimper as he ran around them, longing to help Faya, but he had seen the ditress in his sister, and the need to help her overcame his previous want.
He drew up, panting and shaking, alongside Kah and Spark, underneath Shaylee, pressing against the older female's legs, glad she was there and silently telling her so.
Such responsibilty for a female wolf!
Sacrind didn't know what would happen if she ever left. Wat would he and Kahana do? What they always did he supposed. Moved on to the next territory, pleaing to stay. Maybe silently follow Shaylee without her knowing?
No, that was dumb.
They'd have to be alone again. Alias didn't seem the father type, nor any of the other wolves, though Faya seemed like she would care for cubs pretty well.
Sacrind looked to Spark, who was curled up like a cat and the lump in the leaves that was his sister. He drew away from Shaylee, nudging the leaves gently, standing with one paw near to Spark, but not touching her, trying to reassure both female wolves at once, though he was trembling himself.
"Kahana?"
He growled, starting to sweep the leafy blanket away from the little female's body.
When Kahana had felt Spark's prescence, she'd stuck her nose gingerly out of the neaves, looking comical for all that could be seen was a little black waffling nose protruding from a mass of red and orange.
As Sacrind began to clear the leaves, her whole body emerged and she cast her sightless eyes around blearily.
"What's happening?"
She asked in a whisper. She needed someone to describe it to her. She needed to know. She began to draw closer to Spark but stopped herself just in time, remembering Spark's curious ability.
"Shaylee, can you tell me what's happening, please?"
Kahana asked, trusting Shay more with the truth, as she knew that Sacrind would lie and make the situation brighter so as not to frighten her. But she wanted to know what was happening. She wanted to feel the same terror that was gripping Sacrind now.
He was watching someone die, but thankfully, she need never know what that was like.

o{ Spark }o
Head jerking up and gaze turning towards Alias at the sudden strong scent of him which announced his presence, Spark gave a gentle flick of her ears, before glancing over and up at Sacrind, pressing her muzzle into the fur of his chest briefly, to reassure him, as he seemed as shaken up as her and Kahana.
Looking to said female pup, Spark felt her heart sag at the words Kah uttered, ears flattening regretfully against her skull, tail slinking between her legs- for she knew that Shay would tell Kah the truth, and she, so desperately, wanted to spare the pup the pain of knowledge.
Hold on a second- what exactly was going on that would scare Kah?
Muzzle shifting towards Cassius, expression closed and doubtful, then, quickly, to Ohtar and Faya- a sight which made her heart leap into her throat; for Faya was about to be killed by Smoke, or so it seemed.
A furious little snarl building within her, Spark gave a sharp jerk as she realised there was no way she could aid Faya- but perhaps the light shape hurtling towards the pair could... o{ Smoke }o
The light grey shape in question, equipped with cream paws and a cream muzzle, was the furious, bristling figure of Smoke- who had ended up, somehow, a little behind Alias, but had arrived just about the same time.
Having flung himself over the female towering over three pups, and passed the male digging, strangely, at a hole in the ground, Smoke now leapt at Ohtar, somehow managing to shove his muzzle between the male's jaws, and prise it open, so that Faya's neck was released from the deadly grasp.
Flinging his head due north, to push Ohtar up briefly into the air, then back, away from him and Faya, Smoke backed up immediately, eyes watching Ohtar with absoloute fury, though he was inching closer to Faya, and, for a brief second, his furious gaze turned to one of such tenderness and horror, that it was hard not to feel pity for the male, as his eyes wrenched off of Ohtar and settled on the form of his beloved. o{ Shaylee }o
Watching the proceedings with pure amazement sharpening her fragile features, Shay gave a shake of her head to clear her thoughts as Kah's soft voice brought her out of herself.
Looking down, full of pity and love for the pup, she sighed, ears flattening briefly against her skull, body shaking to relieve her fur of some of the water still thundering down onto her figure.
"It'll all be over soon, Kah. Just- go back to sleep, sweetie."
Shay murmured soothingly, knowing that Kah was trusting her to tell the truth, but being unable to bring herself to speak the words that would, no doubt, fill the pup's gaze with horrified terror.
Looking guiltily down at her filthy, soaking-wet paws, Shay ignored the curious, yet confused, look Spark threw her way, and instead focused on keeping all of the pups b'neath her protective body.
Throwing a glance to Alias, as she had not scented him before due to the downpour, she sent a slow smile his way, the earlier horror of his actions gone; for now, she knew it to be a trick; an illusion wove by the female with the strange marking. o{ Cassius }o
Gaze shifting easily to Alias at the sudden appearance of the male, Cassius opened his mouth to speak, before a sudden disturbance within the fighting wolves made his gaze snap that way, mouth snapping shut again, and eyes hard, curious, yet full of fury for the wolves.
Lips rising into a cold, hateful snarl as Smoke somehow managed to prise Faya away from Ohtar, though the snarl was directed at the male who had been about to kill the female he seemed to love, Cassius snapped his gaze swiftly back to Alias, feeling it safer for him to look at the Alpha then at the fight- for, fights always made his blood run cold, and fury line his features.
"You're the Alpha, correct?"
He asked shortly, lofty gaze lowering slightly, out of respect for Alias; for he was sure that, by the bulky frame and dominant posture, Alias was indeed the Alpha of these here lands.

Gasping, Faya's throat felt like it was on fire, burning alive. At last, after what seemed hours, the pain lifted slightly, and she let her eyes snap open in time to see Smoke shoot her that look.
Rolling quickly to her feet and hauling herself upright, she looked at Smoke warily, bleeding from her neck, but her attention focused on what she had thought to be her beloved.
She didn't know him anymore.
She hardly recognised this place. He was the past, history, what had been. He had left her. Left her, just like that.
He'd saved her life. Big deal. That felt like nothing to her, she turned away, eyes shining with tears she struggled not to shed. Now she was alive, she felt maybe dying wouldn't be so bad. At least the confusion would be gone.
But then, she would not feel the comfort of the rain hammering at her body, seeping into the deep wounds Ohtar had inflicted, cooling down the hot pains shooting through her tired veins.
She looked back to Smoke again, almsot fearfully, as though scared of what she would see ... him with that stupid wolf with the stupid marking and the stupid French that she spoke for attention...
Faya lifted her head a little higher, painfully, but she looked at Smoke hard, as though beating him down with her glare.
"What could you possibly gain by returning?"
Faya rasped, for speaking hurt.
Kahana looked around as best she could, lost in a darkness of her own. Giving up, confusion taking over, she gave Spark a lick, luckily her tongue finding the nose by total chance, and rubbed her face against Sacrind lovingly, before laying down slowly, closing her eyes and giving in to sleep.
It was hard for her to dream.
Mainly because she did not know what anything would look like. And so, she made it up. Her dream this time, in fact, was a beautiful one, and she smiled softtly in her sleep, for it did not take her long to drift off.
She dreamt about this forest, Teisei Forest, or the Whispering Forest as she called it to herself.
The tree were basically extremely large wolves, great trunks for legs, perfectly carved features wrinkled only by the bark, their fur made up of leaves spreading like feathers over the top half of their body.
They had their maws pointing to the sky, howling out, though their songs came only as whispers, the same whispers the tree had whispered to Kah before the rain had started.
The rain in her dreams only came halfway down the sky, before it turned into flowers, each of them literally just colourless blobs which smelled like heaven, falling instead of leaves around Kahana's paws.
She was walking, seeing all these things clearly in her mind, scenting the scents, hearing the sounds and enjoying every moment being in her own little world, alone and untroubled.
To Kahana, this was what heaven should be like.
Sacrind, watching in terror, gave an enormous sigh of relief as Smoke saved Faya, still a little tense as Faya was beginning to look murderous herself!
Backing away a little, he noticed too late the puddle behind him, and he slipped a little in the wet mud. Staggering backwards, he found himself in the middle of the puddle and blinked in surprise.
Ankle deep it had seemed. No chance! It came up to his waist, just under his chin, and it was /freezing/. Gasping with cold, he leapt out of it and shot under Shaylee again, shivering and looking very worried.
Puddles weren't meant to be that deep.
And the rain wasn't meant to fall for so long.
Sacrind shook himself, sending water flying everywhere, and sat down. He looked up at the soothing form of Shaylee, which put his mind at ease.
"Shaylee, just so you know, I am really sorry about biting you earlier."
Sacrind said quietly, suddenly feeling extremely guilty for what he had done all those hours ago when he had been protecting Kahana. Here she was, protecting them valiantly, and Sacrind had attacked her.
He looked up at the black clouds lost to black night and he felt smaller than he had ever felt in his life.
"Alpha?"
Alias grunted, frowning wearily.
"Oh Alpha! Yes ... yes, I'm that ... alpha, yup."
He mumbled the words just loud enough for them to be heard, nodding and smiling a small smile at Cassius's respect for him. Alias looked at Faya, Ohtar and Smoke, his lip curling.
"What should I do?"
He blurted out helplessly. This responsibility made his every bone ache, he was confused, he had charge of all these wolves and no idea how to use it!
He stamped a paw in the mud, his white fur stained badly, looking miserable and dejected. Some alpha he was...
He looked at Cassius, not bothering to question the fact that no permission had been asked. Who cared now? It was Cassius' risk coming to this place anyway.
Nothing but a cage for bad luck and blood shed.
That's all it felt to be. And this bloody rain! For Heavem's sake, would it just STOP!!!
Alias gave a snarl of frustration and snapped a jaw to himself angrily, a thousand thoughts crammed in his mind of un spoken words he longed to let loose.
But he'd better not. There were cubs present...
Ohtar felt his jaws prised open and he was thrown away slightly, taken aback and staggering a bit, fighting to stay on his feet.
He looked with horror as Faya stood up, her neck bleeding. Surely ... surely he did not just do that to her?!
He looked from her to Smoke, eyes roving the wolves, deciding fighting was useless. Instead, panting, he thought of the best words to stir things up.
He turned to face Smoke.
"I know why he's returning."
Ohtar sneered, looking slightly insane as lightening flashed, sillhouetting the wolves in the clearing, his dirt fur soaked, eyes wide and bloodshot.
"Got bored of your mistress and came for Faya, is that it? Aw, come on. The hero act just doesn't work when you've left her for another wolf. Even I have more heart than that!"
Looking at the blood staining Faya's pelt, Ohtar knew his words did, indeed, sound a little mad, but that didn't matter. He knew it would be enough for Smoke.
Ohtar was too blind to see the enchantment that had happened, Faya to lost in her pain and her emotional hurt to see it as Shaylee had.
It seemed pointless.
It seemed nearly as though Ohtar had won.
Though ... her heart was not his yet...

o{ Smoke }o
A broken, lost-sounding whimper escaped his throat at the harshness of his beloved's gaze, a whimper which occured again when she spoke, with a tone as icy as though it was tinged with all of the frost in the world.
"P-please...Faya..."
His voice a soft whine, a plead for understanding, Smoke seemed very much on the brink of an emotional breakdown. His heart was sagging in his chest, black eyes filled to the brim with pain and horror- horror that he might lose his beloved.
All because of the stupid wolf with the pheromones.
A whimper starting to grow within his throat, he stopped himself from releasing it at Ohtar's words, muzzle jerking towards the male, fury and hatred now sharpening light, masculine features.
"How dare you."
His voice caught in his throat as he spoke, making the note sound even more broken and destroyed than his whimpers had sounded. Pathetic, he may have looked, now- all of the anger sucked out of his lost, misty gaze, his ears flattening briefly against his skull, broken gaze shifting back to Faya, pity for her, and hatred for himself, glittering in his eyes.
"Faya...I- It wasn't my fault, Faya..."
His voice a whimper, his eyes staring pleadingly into her's, the male seemed to be ignoring everyone but his beloved now, his whole body shaking, self-loathing coarsing through his veins, boiling his blood and making his heart feel like it was being hacked in two. o{ Shaylee }o
Hearing the heart-wrenching voice of Smoke, as he pleaded with his mate, Shay looked down at the earth, ears flattening sadly against her skull, before she thankfully turned her gaze to Sacrind as he spoke, feeling her heart truly being torn in two at the guilt in his tones, combined with the look of pure, unadulterated guilt on his face, also.
Giving him a reassuring smile, Shay bent her head slowly, tongue drawing softly against the male pup's nape, smile still on her features, softening her gaze further as she smiled down to him.
"It's alright, Sacrind. You were just looking out for Kah."
Shay's water-over-rocks voice was a soft murmur, her tail flicking delicately between her legs, despite the fact that she was nearly freezing to death above the pups; the hammering rain was hitting her figure unrelentlessly, and now, every so often, her legs would quiver slightly; as though they would soon buckle beneath her body, crushing the pups beneath.
Wincing at the thought, she tipped her muzzle skywards as Sacrind had done, eyes squinting against the heavy downpour, until a yelled voice caught her attention, ears perking instantly, as she quickly deciphered the words that he had shouted through the rain. o{ Cassius }o
"It's done!"
Those were the words that Cassius had yelled, that Shay had heard, his tail flicking, pride at his accomplishment sharpening his features, glowing in his aqua eyes.
"The hole, that is. Well- the den. It should be big enough for you all to squeeze down into, now."
Smiling quite grandly, Cassius gave a respectful nod to Alias. He had said 'you all' as he wouldn't be one of the ones to stay down in the den; the rain didn't look like it was going to stop anytime soon, so he wanted to get off of these soaking lands as soon as he could.
Tail twitching proudly, he gave a curious look to Alias as the Alpha blurted out, quite frankly, that he didn't know what to do. Roaming gaze searching the area, he slowly looked back to Alias with a friendly smile.
"Get them all into the den- before they freeze to death."
Calm, clear voice ringing out, he couldn't help but throw a glance to Kah, as the air around him had seemed to change when she had slept; signalling that someone had fallen asleep, and his roving gaze had shown him who it was that had fallen asleep.
Licking his lips as he looked down to the earth, he gave a placid smile to Alias, before slipping easily to the muddied, soaking-wet female who was towering over the three pups in the area. o{ Shaylee }o
A low, warning snarl erupting from her throat at the sudden sight of Cassius advancing towards her and the pups -the latter much more important in her mind-, Shay gave a confused flick of her ears when he stopped dead in his tracks, dipping his muzzle calmly towards her.
It was his suggestion, though, which made her mind reel with shock.
"Why don't you take the younglings to the den? It'll be warmer there."
Nodding speechlessly at his suggestion, a placid-enough smile rippling across her face, she stepped to the side, before turning quickly and lifting Spark and Sacrind into the air by their scruffs, carrying them quickly and easily to the den.
Lithe body slipping through the enlarged hole, Shay dropped the pair down, expecting that Cassius would, most likely, bring down Kah. o{ Spark }o
Silently absorbing everything which was going on around her, Spark gave a jerk as she felt Shay's jaws clamp gently onto her's and Sacrind's scruff, instantly stopping the sparks from flying from her body, and twisting slightly to smile reassuringly towards Sacrind, as the little light of the outside vanished; replaced with the darkness of the den.
Stepping away from the other two as soon as Shay gently released her and Sacrind, Spark expertly turned the sparks back on, ears flicking amusedly, as she formed a large ball of electricity with the sparks, muzzle flicking towards the roof of the den and making it hover right above the now-lying-down form of Shay.
Glancing back towards the den entrance, where Kah was sleeping, Spark gave an unsettled growl, tail flicking agitatedly; waiting for Kah's presence to be added to the small group in the den. o{ Cassius }o
A cold smirk raced across his features once the annoying presence of the white female had left, Cassius did indeed bend his head to gently grab Kah's scruff, though it was his actions that followed this which stopped him from being classed as a good guy.
For he had lifted her into the air like a prize, then hurtled into the growing darkness of the night, legs flinging him forwards; far away from the group, from the den, from all the safety dear Kah, held suprisingly gently in his jaws, had ever known.
A good ten minutes or so fast race away, and Cass gently set Kah down onto the ground, towering above her, a sneer sharpening his features as he saw that she hadn't woken up.
Perfect.
His eyes closed, his mind shifting abruptly to the state that allowed for him to force others to dream of what he was thinking.
And right now, he was thinking of a human carnival- such a thing that he had once witnessed when he had stumbled too close to the area; lured in by the mouth watering scents hanging all around.
Only, this wasn't a normal carnival- it was Hell's version.
Fire spitting up from the ground, the black sky seeming to tremble, the rides and activities exploding, humans running for their lives, screaming bloody murder.
A cold smile flickered slowly across his face as he entered his thoughts, a harsh laugh dying in his throat; as he knew it would spoil his concentration...

Sacrind smiled, and he felt himself lifted into the air, returning Spark's reassuring smile. When he found himself in the den, it took a while for his eyes to pierce through the darkness, and he blinked at the sudden blaze that was Spark's form of a light bulb.
He looked around, waiting to see Kah dropped through the mouth. He wagged his tail, looking at Shay who was laying down and trotting over to her.
He lay himself beside her, pressing his body against hers, trying hard to warm her up with his own body heat, though he was tiny compared to her, and the wet of her fur was bound to make her stay cold for a while.
He looked up to the entrance again, waiting, patiently.
And waiting.
And waiting some more.
His ears and tail drooped in concern.
He had waited for the full ten minutes it had taken Cassius to run far away. In mounting terror, Sacrind leapt to his feet and shot out of the den, nito the rain, staggering around, searching, feeling sick and dizzy, his stomach and head aching madly.
He was standing at the point he had left his sleeping sister, seeing the broken leaves where she had lain. He looked around helplessly, seeing Cassius gone also, the cold of the rain not the thing making him shake violently.
"KAHANA!"
He screamed, breaking down into sobs of fear, whimpering pitifully, laying down where he had last seen his sister, all scents lost in the wet, his whole body jerking.
Kahana had gone, and he didn't know where. He wondered ... would he ever see her again?
Alias, who had been staring at his paws throughout the entire business, looked up to see the sobbing pup, trotting over in concern.
"Hey Kid, you alright?"
Alias asked tenderly, laying down next to Sacrind and nudging him gently. The wolf felt a little awkward; he was not used to dealing with sub, let alone ones crying with such misery that he felt his heart would tear!
He put his head on his paws and gazed at Sacrind, blinking patiently, scarred body relaxed though the rain fell down so hard.
He watched, frowning now, as Sacrind raised his head slightly and burst out that his sister was missing and Cassius aswell, before sinking down into more fits of despair. Rising slowly to his feet, Alias looked around.
"Crying won't help, kid."
Alias said, and he smiled down, slightly doubtfully.
"I'll scout the area, you sit tight and get dry."
He ordered before turning and running in the trees, scanning the ground, straining his senses for any scent, any at all. He got nothing, but he decided to start zigzagging through the forest anyway, search as much area as he could.
Kahana was also his responsibility, and he felt such a fool for her disappearing, right under his nose. Growling to himself, he felt anger bubbling up at Cassius.
Alias had actually felt trust stirring inside him! How had that deteriated so quickly!!!
Faya heard Smoke's words and allowed the tears to fall, breaking into little whines as she tried to talk, but for a while, words failed her.
She looked into Smoke's pleading eyes and took a shuddering breath.
"But you left me."
She whispered, her voice thick with tears, whole body shaking along with her voice, sniffing now and then, her tail well between her legs.
Her beauty was very nearly shattered by this misery, looking as pathetic as Smoke did, shying away from his love though her feelings for him were pulsing strongly through her veins, unable to accept the betrayal.
She didn't want to turn him down. Please, please just accep[t what he was saying!
Her heart was screaming at her to do just that.
But her mind was replaying the look on his face as he had followed Val, not bothering to glance at Faya, as though he'd never known her. Was she really worth that little?
She lowered her head as though unable to hold it up any more.
Maybe ... maybe she really was worth nothing.
As she had always thought before she'd fallen in love.
Ohtar heard the ice in Smoke's words, but the broken heart aswell, and even he was touched, though hatred overtook that very quickly. He had looked around to see Cassius steal away with Kahana, and he grinned quietly.
He'd tell Faya later. That would get to her. And Ohtar would follow Cassius's exact steps, the direction he had run in, and save the pup himself. Then lets see Faya resist him!
He'd growled quietly as Alias had set off, though gave a grin as the alpha blundered off in the wrong direction, looking around at Sacrind, who had ignored Alias's order and carried on crying to the rain and leaves, not caring that he was so numb he could not feel the rain.
Ohtar turned back to Faya, smirking at Smoke.
"That's right, Smoke. You left her. You say you love her. But do you know how sad you look, begging for her forgiveness? Pathetic. Just a ball of dripping wet cowardice. You call yourself a wolf? You call yourself a lover?"
All through her journey, Kahana had slept soundly, so exhausted she barely stirred, giving little gruntd now and then and twitching a paw, but otherwise, totally out of it.
In her dreams, she was chasing falling feathers, catching them in her mouth and building wings, ready to take off and fly away...
But it was all changing rapidly...
The ground was as black as the night above, and yet there were blinding flashes of colured light, so bright that Kahana longed for her usual blindness.
The noises were deafening, like thunder descending apon her and human screams, laughs, yells and raised voices. The smells were terrifying, oily, metal, and food though it didn't smell at all appeasing.
Kahana walked forward slowly, shivering with terror, thousands of human feet thundering around her, yelling, pushing eachother, crowding in long lines to board a sort of snake that flew over tracks, around and upside down, fast, furious, deadly.
Kahana felt horrified just looking at it, and was even more stunned when she found herself at the foot of a very tall pole, stretching up higher than the highest tree, with a round thing on top, on which many humans were sitting, legs dangling, suspended on the pole.
Suddenly...
The pole let go of them, and they came shooting down, falling free, screaming in apparent terror. Kahana was waiting for it to come down to crush her.
She was right underneath it, it was getting very big, very close, very fast.
She was going to die.
She hated this nightmare, needed to wake up. But those lights and that racket held her trapped caged. She wasn't going to wake up. She was going to be crushed like a beetle...
Screaming, ahana leapt dreamily out of the way, just as the ride came to a sudden stop inches from the ground. Kahana lay panting, eyes wide with terror.
What other horrors had this nightmare in store for her...

o{ Cassius }o
Chortling softly to himself at the image in his mind, the dream that Kah was having, Cassius gave a low, icy laugh, almost jolting himself out of his concentration, before he snarled softly, getting right back into the act of 'villain'.
The fairground vanished from his mind, replaced by a new image.
A smirk lit up his expression, though the rain and darkness, as he realised what the image was- of a field, with a rabbit chasing a wolf. Not just any rabbit, though- a mutant, rabid freak of nature.
Smirking to himself, he gave a soft hiss, concentration stretched almost to breaking point, every ounce of his being, of his power, focused on the one tiny creature between his forpaws. o{ Spark }o
Terror plunging her mind into chaos, Spark leapt up and followed Sacrind out of the den, hanging back, heart breaking in her chest, at the sound of Sacrind's screams.
She watched Alias leave, then rushed quickly over to Sacrind's side, licking his nose reassuringly, though she didn't feel nearly so confident about what she was about to suggest.
"I'll go look for her, Sacrind! Stay here- stay with Shay."
Spark declared, tone commanding for the first time ever, before she was off, hurtling across the clearing, and into the trees- following the distinctive scent of Kah, which Alias apparantly hadn't noticed.
Small figure racing through the trees, weaving effortlessly around the thick trunks, she continued on, feeling as though her paws were on fire. On and on she ran, fur sparking now, electricity lunging at anything and everything which got in her way as she fled towards the lingering, though faint, scent of Kahana. o{ Shaylee }o
Hearing the anguished scream, Shay pressed herself against the wall, whimpering softly; for, before Spark had shot out of the den, she had forbidden Shay from leaving the den until she had returned.
Snarling softly to herself, she moved to the cave entrance, muzzle propping out of the hole, trying to find Sacrind without leaving the den- which would result in explosions, or a similiar feeling to thus, in her mind.
"Sacrind? Sacrind, sweetie, come here..."
She whimpered, knowing that Kah was gone, and that she couldn't do anything- if she left the den, the feeling inside her head would make her want to kill herself. No jokes. o{ Smoke }o
Ignoring Ohtar as best he could, Smoke kept his sorrowful gaze on Faya, tail drooping slowly between his legs at her words. His head dropped, defeatedly, and he dejectedly turned towards Ohtar, eyes glittering softly.
"Take good care of her..."
His voice cracked, his broken heart thudding wildly against his chest, eyes watching Ohtar silently for a moment, before he turned slowly back towards Faya, glittering eyes dimming, his body sagging with self-loathing, and with love.
"Goodbye...Faya."
His voice emerged as nothing more than a mere soft whimper; a tone that was rivalled only with the heart-broken screaming Sacrind was now indulging in.
Regret flooded his face, self-hatred glimmered in his dark eyes.
"I'll...I'll always love you, Faya..."
He managed to murmur, before the last ounce of dignity he had vanished, and the tears inside his eyes trickled out, pouring down his face, silently, until a choked sob escaped his throat.
Turning slowly away from Faya, his heart catching in that movement- literally.
He coughed, then again- trying to clear the sudden sensation of sinking.
Falling, sinking, dying.
A whimper flung to the heavens, Smoke fell to the ground in a heap, his heart slowing right down.
Literally slowing, as though the pain of losing Faya, as he believed he had just done, was bringing on a heart attack.
Coughing and spluttering, pathetic sounding whimpers cascading towards the skies, Smoke let his muzzle drop onto his paws, ears flattening back against his skull- a sign of the pain coarsing through his chest.
It was as though his heart was being ripped in two; which was exactly the way he'd always felt that he would feel like if Faya ever left him.
But he was wrong- since the heart problem had always been there, lurking in the shadows of his chest, evil teeth glittering as it smirked at his heart, longing to slice it's claws through the beating organ.
Simply put? He was having a heart attack.

Faya's eyes opened in amazement as Smoke adressed Ohtar with such words. Ohtar, the one wolf that Smoke would have to hate, and he told him to look after Faya?
Something wasn't right...
Faya watched, ever more tears falling from her eyes as Smoke declared his undying love for her, and it was then that Faya knew.
He'd left her.
But he had never left their love. He hadn't left her for another wolf, he couldn't have, his words made something click in Faya's mind as realisation dawned on her.
Too late.
Faya gave a scream as Smoke fell to the ground, his heart slowly giving up, leaving Smoke whimpering and coughing. Faya flew to his side, her own legs buckling with terror and she landed next to Smoke, drawing close to him, pressing herself against him.
She'd never seen a heart attack before, but she knew about them, Traska had taught her about what happened. Everything Traska described was laying before her in the form of Smoke.
Sobbing, now out of fear rather than hurt, Faya put her maw close to his ear, shaking violently. She was going to lose him forever. This was her fault. All her fault.
If she hadn't jumped to conclusions...
Faya sobbed.
"I'm sorry, my love."
She whispered, licking his maw softly and tenderly, lovingly. She didn't expect him to survive, for Traska had made it sound very negative, but Faya was sure that she would make Smoke's death as comfortable as she could.
It hadn't hit her that she was preparing to say goodbye to her beloved forever and more, that she would live in mourning for the rest of her life, never to allow affection into her life again, always hating herself for the death she drove Smoke to.
For she was sure that it was her who had caused his heart to break. And she'd never felt self-loathing so strongly in her life.
She buried her maw in his fur and cried silently, starting to sing very very softly a bedtime song that Traska had always sung to her and Smoke when they had been cubs.
She knew that, seeing as Traska had made the song up, it would mean something special, and that inside it's notes Smoke would know how truly sorry Faya was.
She had no idea that somewhere inside the fearful mass of her elegant body, life was beginning to stir...
Sacrind looked up, barely able to see through his own tears, his howling ceasing for a moment whilst Spark told him of her plan to look for Kahana.
Sacrind did not want Spark to get hurt, but he would do anything for him to have his sister back, and so he nodded, his breathing making his entire body shudder, as his breaths were coming in short sharp gasps.
He looked around, hearing Shaylee's voice, but not seeing through the blurred vision he had fallen into now. He got to his feet and stumbled towards Shaylee, still sobbing loudly, whimpering and whining pathetically, tail pressed tightly against his belly, between his legs.
He practically fell into the den, falling against Shaylee, who was blocking the den as she had moved towards the entrance to call for Sacrind, and he didn't try to rise again.
He pressed himself tightly against Shaylee, trying to lose himself in her fur. He felt slightly comforted by her and he snuggled against her damp body, his own, freezing cold, dripping wet fur making him look thin and fragile.
He looked as well and truly broken as Faya.
"I want Kah."
He gasped, tears falling from his face onto her fur. He wanted his sister so badly. He didn't know how many tears he had left to shed...
Ohtar, staring down apon Faya and Smoke, wrinkled his nose and swung away into the rain, running steadily into the trees and off. The scene behind him held nothing, no point staying.
The heart broken Faya would not notice him now that her beloved lay dying, the rain hammering against his body. Ohtar would wait until Faya had calmed down and Smoke was dead.
Then he would close in again.
He ran for a while, but he was cold and shaking, and he knew that he needed to find shelter soon. He looked down at a stone cave and veered his direction so that he leapt into it, standing on the dryer ground and shaking himself with grunts of satisfaction.
He looked briefly around the cave, just so he;d know where he was, and he froze, eyes falling apon a certain sleeping figure, her marking no longer glowing. He growled quietly at her peaceful form and he lay down on the other side of the cave, silent now so as not to wake her up, head on his paws but eyes never leaving her.
This was the wolf Smoke had been following...
Ohtar's head jerked up as he realised this, and his eyes narrowed. What had happened to make Smoke's apparant adoration for her die?
He needed to know.
"I hope you don't mind my intrusion, miss."
Ohtar said loudly with every intention of waking her with his words. He was getting answers, whether Valentine liked it or not.
Alias looked up as the sound of swift footfalls passed a little way to his right. He, just in time, caught sight of sparks slying from a certain little body, and Alias raised an eyebrow as he realised it was Spark, that feisty little cub.
What was she doing here?
She seemed confident enough, maybe she'd found a scent? Alias walked across the path she had just ran, and lowered his nose to the ground. There! A scent that had not yet been killed by the rain. Cassius ... and Kahana.
Alias growled, making a note to praise Spark later, before he started running, rather faster than Spark for his legs were longer, in the direction the pup had been running.
He saw her and put on a spurt of speed so that he was nearer.
"I have to say, you really would make a fine hunter with that there nose of yours."
Alias growled loudly, so that young Spark would hear him over the rain, flashing a smile she'd only see if she turned around, for Alias was just behind her.
Now he was on the track, he knew he'd be able to carry on. But he needed to keep eyes on Spark aswell...he frowned. He'd probably need to pick her up and carry her.
He eyed the electricty flying from her warily.
Fat chance...
Kahana gave a whimper as the fairground vanished, and she found herself in a field. She calmed down a little. At least in a field she knew where she stood, it was a thing of nature, not of man.
She turned, but her relief was sapped instantly. A rabbit was racing towards her, about the same size as the pup herself, though most rabbits were.
It was not the fact that it was coming towards her that struck fear into Kahana's heart. It was the fact that she was seeing a mutant, something not allowed to walk apon the planet.
The rabbit's eyes were gone. There was just bloody sockets in their place, the fur around them stained with blood, its paws stained also, for it had rubbed its empty eye sockets often.
One ear was hanging down by a single thread, cut in half by goodness knows what, but not quite severed, still there, dangling limply, swinging with every bound the rabbit took.
Its fur was matted and falling out in clumps, it claws over sized, its teeth very large amd bared, blood stained on them from whatever meat it had been eating. A meat eating rabbit.
Kah never thought that prey would terrify her so.
This rabbit was obviously practised at drawing blood in whatever came into its path. Kahana gave a half sob, half scream and she turned tail and ran. All rabbits are fast, but this just seemed immense, and Kahana was dream heavy and her limbs were reluctant to move.
She tried her hardest, legs like lead, ears well back, not moving very far. And the mutant rabbit was closing in...
Kahana tripped on something, she had no time to see what, and fell heavily to the dream floor, which was unusually hard. She lay there and slowly looked around in horror.
The rabbit was almost apon her, and she could smell its rotting flesh, see it's jaws already opening. Kahana was going to die.
"WAKE UP!"
She screamed in terror, wishing more than anything that she had never fallen asleep in the first place...

o{ Valentine }o
Ripped out of her peaceful state of mind as a loud voice pierced into her dreams, Valentine slowly felt herself oozing out of the dream she'd been in, and waking up, her eyes already set into a narrowed glare.
"I do. Now go."
Voice a soft hiss, eyes not fully adjusted yet to the sudden difference in the darkness of the backs of her eyelids, followed by the sudden slightly-lighter, though much different setting, of the cave.
"I don't care if you're male or not. Just get lost." o{ Smoke }o
Smoke might have been able to hear Faya's voice, and feel her touch- but it was like she was speaking to, and touching, him from miles away- he could hear the sounds her voice made, but not the words, and with her touch, he only knew where her fur touched his, and the lightest of brushes of fur against fur; apart from that, he couldn't feel a thing.
Then, she begun to sing- the song that Traska had sung to them both, oh so many years ago.
He could hear every word that came from her mouth, could feel every touch again, as the pain blossoming in his chest lessened considerably, but his slow-thudding heart still hurt him, and his limbs still ached with the loss of oxygen.
Slowly, so very slowly, the beating of his heart increased, returning back to normal. The pain in his chest slipped away into nothingness, and, slowly, his eyelids opened, revealing eyes that had been hidden from the world the second he had hit the ground.
"F-Faya..."
His voice a soft, loving murmur, though cracked and broken, oxygen pumping around his body with every deep breath he took. o{ Shaylee }o
Squinting gaze catching sight of Sacrind stumbling towards her, tail tucked tightly between his legs, sobs and whimpers escaping his throat, made Shay's throat constrict, her own gaze blurring with tears, as the rain hammered down all around, and on, her.
Ducking back into the den once he had somehow managed to fall in, his body pressing against her's, seeking comfort, Shaylee gave a soft whimper at his words, her own figure curling tightly up around his- pressing his freezing-cold body against her's; even though she was just as wet as him, if not more.
Slowly, she uncurled, jaws grasping gently at his scruff and pulling him further into the den; away from the rain that was entering the mouth of the den. Dropping him softly back onto the ground, slim, muddy body curling around his small, stocky figure again, she murmured softly to the pup, her heart going out to him, her murmurs only a lullaby that her grandmother had sung to her several times; each time being when Shay had been near-fatally injured by the constant attacks and orders of her fellow family, and pack, members- her grandmother had been the only wolf whom hadn't ever taken advantage of Shaylee's curse.
"They'll bring her back, Sacrind..." o{ Cassius }o
Seeing the mutant rabbit almost upon Kah in his mind, Cassius gave a delighted growl; not even bothering to listen out for the other wolves, now, his body hunched over the sleeping pup, a vindictive smirk sliced across his muzzle.
Oh, how he loved the kill- and he could feel that one was about to happen... o{ Spark }o
Head snapping around to face Alias at his words, catching the smile, Spark sent a playful smirk back to him, amusement etched across her features, before turning her head quickly back towards the direction she was running in; just in time to see the tree she almost rushed in to.
Veering sharply around it, she continued her fast trek, paws a whirl of motion, sparks flying furiously from her, zapping anything and everything which got in her way; and also- seeming to make her movements even faster.
Although, when Alias had complimented her, she hadn't seemed so thrilled; inside, she was overwhelmed with delight at his compliment- for she was pretty certain that he didn't compliment pups often.
Smirking to herself now as she thought about his words, she cursed silently at the sight of a rock structure up ahead; with walls that were too high for any wolf to leap over, and with a gap underneath that only a pup could squeeze through; anything larger would have to simply find a way around the series of rocks that had melded together in their lifetimes.
"You'll have to find a way around it."
Spark yelled back to Alias, putting on a slight burst of speed and getting through the gap with no problem; emerging on the other side with no large, male wolf on her tail- but a horrifying sight up ahead; Cassius bent over Kah, a smirk slicing across his expression, eyes glittering with malice.
The most furious snarl she'd ever created was flung at him as she hurtled over, body lifting up into the air, jaws clamping onto a bunch of skin from his neck; not to kill him, as she knew, due to her size, that would be near impossible, but to get him the hell away from the slumbering form of Kah beneath his jaws. o{ Cassius }o
The snarl didn't register with Cassius until electricity shot through his body; at the same time as tiny jaws clamped onto part of his neck.
A furious snarl of his own, though not quite as venemous as Spark's, erupting from his throat, he flung himself away from Kah, head shaking furiously, throwing the small, electric-powered pup off of his neck, and at the ground.
"...Shit..."
He hissed, as soft as twilight and just as menacing, as he realised that his connection with the sleeping Kah was gone.
With one last furious glare to Spark, he turned, body qualing with fury, paws propelling him, with astonishing speed, away from the scene; and, a few moments later, right out of the territory... o{ Spark }o
When Spark's jaws had, unable to hold on any longer, released her hold on Cassius' neck, her small body was flung into a large clump of thorns nearby, the sudden scratch of them against her skin making her faint instantly, body slumping in the thorny grasp, suspended off of the ground by the objects that had just riddled her body with scratches and the likes.

Ohtar raised an eyebrow but did not move. He wasn't going to let some crabby female tell him what to do. Her words, I don't care if your male confused him, and only added to his curiosity.
"Make me."
Ohtar replied calmly to her orders to "get lost", of which he had no intention at all of obeying. He wondered how to put his thoughts into words. He pondered for a moment before drawing a breath to speak.
"I happened to notice a wolf who was following you in this general direction. Do you .... er .... know this wolf?"
He asked, tilting his head and crossing his paws in a manner that clearly stated he wasn't going anywhere. Well, why should he? It was a free country ... kind of ... not really, but still, Valentine held no threat over him.
Sacrind felt himself pulled into the dryer part of the den, and merely continued to cuddle up to Shaylee as though his life depended on it. When she started to murmur a lullaby to him, he felt his tears begin to thin until no more fell, and his heart started to pound a little slower, for it had been beating extremely fast.
He calmed down a little, and lifted his miserable face to look at Shaylee as she spoke her words. He nodded slowly. Yes, they would. He told himself firmly, forced himself to believe it.
Kahana would be back soon.
They'd be together again.
"Why didn't you come outside, Shaylee?"
Sacrind asked, his voicce a whisper as he didn't want to damage the softer atmosphere the lullaby had put apon him. He didn't understand why Shaylee hadn't gone to him, or gone out to help Spark look for Kahana, or even just to see that Kahana had actually gone.
It didn't make him feel bad, he was just confused, and, like Ohtar, in need of answers. He curled up into a little ball, his head resting against Shaylee, feeling almost as though he was with his mother and she was comforting him after he'd had a bad dream.
He looked away.
It was quite hard to be with Shaylee and behave as though she was his mother, all this comfort seeking, painful memories being released. He felt a little guilty for Shay, that he was hassling her like this, but he found that he had grown the same love for her that Kahana had.
When Alias came to the wall, he gave a quick nod as Spark darted through the tiny hole, and he started to run parrallel to it. It had to end somewhere.
By the time he finally came to the end of the rocks, Spark was dangling in the thorns, and Alias was charging towards a drama he had missed.
When he arrived, he first laid eyes on Spark, hanging limply among the thorns. With a yelp, Alias launched himself forward and was at the bush in two bound, grabbing Spark gently by the scruff, wincing as he awaited the volts to charge through him. None came. Obviously, when Spark was out, so were her powers.
Alias lay her down gently and gave a half sigh, half growl at the many cuts and scratches riddled over her body. He dipped his neck and lay down, so that she was between his paws, and set about gently easing the embedded thorns from her with his teeth.
It did not take long for him to be satisfied that he had gotten the worst, at least, out, though he suspected many to have been hidden from view by her striking fur.
He stood up and looked over to Kahana, eyes narrowing with worry as he saw that her back legs had suddenly begun to bleed...
What the Hell had happened?
Cassius, he was no where to be seen, but for once, Alias did not care for chase and fight. He'd never catch up with the wolf anyway.
He shook his head and gave a sharp bark, bewildered. How had Kah slept through all of that?!
Just before Cassius took flight, whilst Spark and Alias were racing to her aid, the rabbit had fallen apon her, savaging madly at her back legs. She'd felt her flesh tear with frightening reality, and had been able to do nothing but scream.
Suddenly, the rabbit froze.
For as Cassius left, his hold on the dream vanished, and Kahana was in control. With a renewed fury, the cub twisted round and launched herself apon the rabbit, which had suddenly looked very small and pathetic, tearing at it, ripping, biting snapping.
Gasping, she pulled back, not ashamed, but very afraid and shaken, waiting for some other horror to appear. But nothing did. She remained in her dreams. Suddenly, the blue skies turned black as night, stars shining, and there was a noise close to her, a bark.
She blinked.
The stars vanished, she sank into total darkness, shivering and spluttering as though she had just emerged from water. She caught the strong scent of Spark and of Alias, blood almost taking over all of that, partly of hers and partly of her friend's.
Ignoring the three long, deep gashes the rabbit had raken down each of her thighs, she crawled towards the two, dragging her injured limbs behind her.
"Spark!" She cried.
"Spark, what's wrong?"
She could smell no electricity. Kahana whimpered, wondering what had happened to her friend.
"Please wake up."
Faya started to shiver, though with delight and excitement now. She heard her beloved's voice, albeit cracked, but not dead, not into the silence she'd been expecting.
She had no idea what to do, and so she stopped singing and decided to talk to him instead, keep him awake, anything.
"Smoke, I'm so sorry." She whispered, voice wobbling dangerously as the overflow of tears threatened.
"Don't leave me, love. I need you..."
Her voice was hushed, for it seemed that whispers were needed, and she ran her tongue comfortingly over Smoke's muzzle, longing to be able to take his pain into herself. She hated seeing him suffer with all her heart.
"I'll fix you."

o{ Valentine }o
Bright pink eyes opened fully, hateful glimmer not disappearing despite the fact that her eyes were now fully adjusted to the darkness of the cave, lips still drawn back over her teeth- showing the glittering objects to the world.
"I'm not telling you a thing. Now get lost."
Her voice a deathly-quiet murmur, eyelids sliding shut over her eyes once more, body shifting back slightly in the cave; a no-nonsense way of telling him to go away, as she well and truly wasn't in the mood for company currently; no matter if Ohtar was a male, and a good looking one at that. o{ Smoke }o
"Hush, Faya. Go...go and see what the p-problem is with the others."
Soft, cracked voice escaping from betwixt his open mouth, coal-black eyes staring adoringly up at his beloved- feeling a major sense of Dejavu coming on; he had been hurt before, in a fight with Ohtar, and Faya had had to take care of him, as she was doing now.
"G'won, I'll be fine."
He murmured, his heart totally back to normal pace now, his body slowly rolling over, legs shifting in a testing manner, until he found that no muscles or anything had been damaged, and was able to simply lift himself into the air, though he tottered briefly- on the brink of collapsing onto one side, before finding his feet once again, a reassuring smile sent in Faya's direction. o{ Shaylee }o
At Sacrind's words, the lullaby ceased to flow from her mouth, and she herself looked away, riddled with guilt over that very question, heart melting, sorrow and guilt flowing through her slim, lithe figure.
"I-I ca...I couldn't."
Her heart feeling as though it had skipped a beat, an eerie, hollow sort of sensation resounding within her long-legged frame, red-orange eyes looking sadly down at the ground; though there was no escaping this, now- Sacrind had to be told the truth.
All of it.
"I'm cursed, Sacrind. Cursed to follow every order directed at me, spoken by a wolven tongue. I am cursed with...obediance." o{ Spark }o
Feeling none of the pain she would undoubtedly be riddled with once she drifted out of her unconscious state, Spark felt strangely detatched from her body, unable to feel or hear anything that Alias and Kah did.
Instead, her world was blank- as black as Kah's vision always was, as empty as Cassius was when his powers took control of him.
She had no dreams, no thoughts, no feelings- just darkness, an everlasting darkness.
Thus when the light came, her eyes blinked furiously, a moan escaping her dry throat.
The light had been lightning from the skies above; smashing down and piercing her chest, sending the sparks rushing across her slim, stocky build, pale amber eyes bilnking rapidly as she hurried to remember what had happened.
...Cassius...Alias...Kahana...
Head jerking up, muzzle swinging left, right, wildly searching for Kah. Her gaze fell upon the small pup, dragging herself towards the volt-creating Spark and the bulky adult who had rescued her from her thorny throne.
Ignoring the pain shooting through her body, she herself crawled forth also, volts ceasing to fly from her fur, sparks on the 'turned off' position, tongue flicking delightedly across Kah's muzzle- to reassure her friend.
Eventually remembering Alias, she turned slowly back towards the Alpha, dipping her short muzzle towards him gingerly, smile spreading across her face like wildfire, eyes glittering with delight.
"Thank you..."
She murmured softly, before turning back to Kah, licking her face and neck, happy little giggles falling from her throat, sheer delight patterned across her dainty features.
