o{ Gypsy }o
Hearing the sounds of the others' voices outside, Gypsy didn't move at all, until Amaris flopped down across from her, concern lighting the other female's eyes. Her own eyes rising to look at Amaris, to thank her for her kind words, before she stopped suddenly, her eyes squeezing shut and her body rippling as her muscles quivered 'neath her fur.
Number two, on it's way.
Lifting herself into a half-sit, before dropping back to the ground like a stone, Gypsy let loose a soft moan, her body trembling as the second of her pups was born, her head whipping around and almost giving herself whiplash, in her frenzy to clean the sac from around the pup- to check and make sure that this one was not a stillborn, too.
Licking at the pup furiously, she almost felt her heart stop when the pup didn't breathe, but- it suddenly did, coughing and spluttering, as life seeped into it, it's blind head turning slowly, soft mews escaping it's mouth. Finishing her cleaning of the pup, Gypsy softly nudged the whelp, a male, towards her stomach, and it blindly crawled around until she nudged the creature again, whereupon it happily began taking her milk around it's system, soft mewling coming from it often.
Eyes glowing with delight, Gypsy looked around to Amaris, delighted that this pup, at least, was alive.

.::Amaris::.
Amaris's eyes let off a special delighted glow, her gentleness seeping through as she looked at the little pup fondly.
"See? You did it. Now, lets make the rest survive like him."
She said, hoping to God that that little creature gave her a rush of confidence in herself. At least there was no more of that heart-broken, choking sobs to listen to. But the cold, lifeless body was still visible in the corner of her eye, closing them for a minute and praying under breath there were to be no more like that.

o{ Gypsy }o
A slow nod, accompanied by a soft half-smile, was the response Gypsy gave to Amaris' words as she looked down towards her stomach- where the bulge was lessening, and her living pup was mewling softly, drinking the milk from her teats in a slightly greedy fashion.
Slowly, her muzzle dropped onto her paws, her gaze now not upon the bundle of life beside her, but upon the stillborn pup lying, as if frozen, close by, his tiny paws poking up at the world, lifeless eyes shining as the light from the cave-entrance hit him, covering his body in a warm, pale glow- which, if one looked at him from the right angle, almost made him look...alive.
Five, or so, minutes later, a moan wracked Gypsy's body, as the third pup struggled for life. Repeating the cleaning procedure for the third, the female felt a delighted beam light up her face- the little pup was most definitely alive, as well as a female itself. Nudging the tiny she-wolf next to her brother, she smiled again to Amaris, her gaze not lingering on the stillborn this time, but rather snapping straight to the other adult female in the den, her body damp with sweat, which was dripping from her sodden fur oft'n.

.::Amaris::.
She beamed at the proud mother, watching with wonder as the third pup took her first successful breath of the world and she was placed comfortably next to her brother, their tiny bodies busily suckling, damp and cosily crammed together.
"A daughter for Gypsy..."
She grinned, trying to find any simalarities of the mother and daughter, but it was a bit hard to tell at that age.
She looked up at her, encouraging glow in her eyes as she awaited the next one.

o{ Gypsy }o
Smiling delightedly, Gypsy nodded at Amaris' words, her eyes glittering protectively, as her gaze shifted down to the small, suckling bodies at her stomach. Head resting on her paws again, eyes gleaming proudly, Gypsy became totally silent for about half an hour, breathing softly, the only sound in the den the suckling of the pups.
A sudden gasp rippled through her, her head shooting up, inhaling deeply, before she turned her front-half slightly, pushing out the fourth pup. Cleaning the pup, Gypsy pressed her nose thankfully against it's middle when it inhaled with a splutter, and quickly pushed the pup next to it's siblings, before looking around and up at Amaris.
"I- I think thats all of them..."

.::Amaris::.
"Congratulations..."
She whispered in awe, beaming down at the litter of three greedily suckling. It was an average litter, she guessed, including the motionless stillborn strewn 'cross the den floor.
"See, I knew you could do it..."

o{ Gypsy }o
Eyes glittering with delight, Gypsy gave a simple nod of her head, smiling widely.
"Thanks Amaris..."
The female murmured, her gaze drifting to the pup who never even managed to take his first breath. Eyes shadowing, she looked towards the den's entrance as the unmissable sound of rain falling softly from the skies.
"Is it raining out there?"

.::Amaris::.
She turned her brown head curiously to look, surveying the dull, grey outside with its liquid gently increasing in power falling from the skies.
"Looks like it..."
She sighed. They couldn't leave them out there much longer, it looked about to downpour.
"We can't leave them out there..."

o{ Gypsy }o
Gypsy's ears flattened back against her skull, as she looked out of the cave and at the darkening skies above.
"I g-guess not..."
She murmured; but she didn't particularly want either to see her pups, not yet. Lifting herself, despite the soft whimpers of protest, she lifted one pup by it's scruff, moving it over to a darker corner of the cave, and placing it gently down, before retrieving the other two- one at a time. Her eyes fell on the stillborn, and she sighed; she couldn't bring herself to pick up it's rock-solid little body, so, instead, she simply laid down beside the three newborns, allowing for them to suckle once again, her figure acting as a shield to prevent the others from seeing.
"Co-could you go get them...please?"

.::Amaris::.
"Course."
She said softly, smiling gently in awe at the femmora's bravery or seeing... well, him again. And having Braedan in the den, who Amaris of course, knew was harmless but Gypsy didn't trust.
She rose, padding out into the grey light of the open, flicking her dial to the heavens for a second and sighing at the depressing grey field of clouds, rolling over and over the horizon and beyond. Looks like it was to be a long winter.
She turned to the foolish white male and glared at him, her usually big cyan eyes mean little slits of disapproval, maw, maw curved into a scowl.
"You better come in. Your bloody lucky she's letting you in however, after that pain you caused her. The kids could have died."
She snapped, turning to Braedan in the background and smiling, showing her relief and a signal all was well.
"And you Braedan, lets not get wet."
.::Tyran::.
He cut her short, rising to his paws and marching inside the cave as soon as the words "Come in" flowed sharply from her lips. With a haze of worry glazed 'pon his optics, he threw his maw open and a small gasp of horror echoed through the den, the tiny, lifeless body strewn across the hard den floor uselessly.
Dead.
He approached slowly, nudging the tiny male with his nose, a turrent of shock to see that his eyes were open and unseeing, staring up at the den roof silently. Auds dipping in gloom, he realised the pup's eyes were emerald green, exact of Tyran's.
He turned away from him, unable to look at the tiny creature anymore, and threw his gaze to the corner of th eroom. Shadows hiding the furry brown body turned with her back to him, the almost inaudible sound of suckling becoming aware to him as his horror faded considerably.
"Gypsy..."

+ BRaeden +
Braeden smiled at Amaris.
Good point. I never did look well when my fur was wet....it's like a sponge, i tell you.
he said, chuckling.
I'm guessing all went well?
he aasked, padding into the soft shelter, blinking his eyes as the adjusted to the gloom.

o{ Gypsy }o
"Don't you dare come any closer, Tyran."
Her voice was not a snarl of fury, now- but a low, quiet murmur, which conveyed her fury better than words ever could. She didn't care as much that Braeden was in the den as much as she was annoyed that Tyran was- though she knew full-well she couldn't let him drown out there.
"I-if you do..."

.::Tyran::.
"I..I'm sorry Gypsy please..."
He stuttered, staring down at his paws solemnly, shifting them uneasily, before murmering sadly to her, tinged with defeat.
"If you just let me have one look, just one at my offspring. And I'll go. If thats what you wish..."
.::Amaris::.
A scowl passed her face, teal piercings narrowing into slits at his prospect, plume flitting annoyingly behind her. Males... so...intruding. Mind you, if Amaris had a mate like Tyran she wouldn't be overly keen on him near her newborn children either...
