A low, annoyed growl rumbled in the female’s throat, as she pulled herself through the vines of Twisty Thicket, the thorns scraping her skin, but leaving an extremely shallow cut. The cuts didn’t even bleed yet.
If you’d just let me take over, we’d get out of here in less than an hour, love, guaranteed. An even louder growl vibrated in the female’s throat as she heard a oh-so-familiar voice in her mind speak.Shut up Despair. I can get out of here on my own. I don’t need you getting out of my mind, thank-you. Careful Joy, if you get annoyed enough, I might just get out.The tan colored wolf gave an even more bad tempered growl as she continued to pull through the thorns. She had to keep her emotions check, or her ‘alter-ego’ might just be set free.
Joy’s duo colored eyes looked around, looking for the large oak in the middle of Twisty Thicket that she had heard so much about. She had been trying to find that tree for the past hours, and yet, to no avail.Haven’t we passed this trail about five times already? There’s no trail to pa-. Wait. What trail? My my darling, you didn’t see that? Look to your right, look through those vines.Joy turned her head in the tight enclosure, her golden and red eyes narrowing as they looked past the vines. Her tan ears flicked as she pulled a face. You’re just teasing me, aren’t you? There’s no trail. Look harder.Joy just sighed, before she looked towards the vines again, even harder if that was possible.
Suddenly, she spotted it, the narrow path that seemed to wind on and on. Maybe this was her ticket to the great oak she heard so much about?‘Tis worth the try, love. We’ve been crawling through this maze for hours now, what would some more lost time hurt?Joy gave a small smirk, despite the dripping with sarcasm sentence that Despair had just uttered. Finally, she hooked her claws into the dirt and gave one final tugging heave as she pulled through the vines, giving a soft yelp of delight as she now stood in front of a narrow dirt trail. There we go. We might be making some progress.Finally.Ignoring Despair’s comment, she walked on the narrow path, not a vine nor thorn tugging at her red and tan coat.
After about thirty minutes of walking, Joy’s eyes sparkled as she came upon the amazing oak. Her pink tongue flicking out to lick her black nose, her tail began to wag happily. We found it! We found it!Psh, more like I found it. If I didn’t see that trail, you’d still be pulling through the vines and thorns. But Joy was to happy to listen to what Despair had to say. So instead, she trotted over to the oak and placed herself at the trunk of the tree, curling up into a small ball as she allowed the sun that seeped through the branches of the tree to warm her coat. occ//Okie. I laid it out, Sicon, now you gotta reply! =D

((It's awesome Ama!!!))
Sweet golden eyes melted like honey as the sun seeped through the leaves. A wolf perched on a thick branch high above the large oak tree gazed down at the other wolf below. Bird’s pelt was a bluish color with stripes of white. He had black markings that skimmed around his eyes and a white underbelly and legs. His wet black nose twitched as he scented the wolf below to be a female. Flecks of gold outlined the bass of his whiskers as they twitched ever so slightly.
He slowly stood up and leapt to a branch a bit lower then the one he was on. He now had a bit of a better view of the female and became curious. Just a moment ago he thought there were two wolves, one was talking on while the other listened but Bird only saw the one laying there beneath the oak soaking in the golden rays. He jumped down a little further until he was on a branch right above the young female’s head. He cocked his head light and grinned slightly. For a brief moment Bird thought he saw Terren instead of the female Joy. He shook his head and frowned, the image of her disappearing. He blinked and opened his maw and let out a quick friendly bark hoping to awake the sleeping wolf.
“Hey wake up,”
He said in his bark. He was not trying to be rude at all just wanted know who this dear wolf was. His feathery tail began to wag sending a slight breeze her way.

occ//Fwee, thank-ye!
Joy's ears swivled back so they would point at Bird, as she opened her golden eye. Uncurling herself instantly, she craned her head back to look at the wolf who was sitting on a branch, which was less than a few inches above her head.
Well, look what we have here, a little tree climber isn't he? Shut your trap Despair. You're /not/ taking over. Ooh, watch your language mistress. Certainly don't want to talk with that tounge towards the brute, now would you?
Joy gave a small snort, but made it looked like if she had sneezed. Giving a small shake of her head, she looked back up at Bird, both eyes open. He red and gold eyes gave a curious blink.
"Why, h'llo there! Who might you be?" Joy asked curiously, moving up into a sitting position as she waited for Bird's reply.
Despair meanwhile paced around in Joy's mind. She wanted out. Now. A devilish smirk crossed Despair's maw as an idea came to her. She would wait for Joy to make her introduction before she would take over the body.

Bird blinked as he watched the fae argue with someone that wasn't there. When she spoke to him though he grinned showing his pearl white fangs.
"Hey. Name's Bird. You are?"
he asked gently leaping down so he was now in front of her. His golden eyes watched her carefully feeling something was wrong with her. It was really her that was wrong it something inside of her that was. He sighed with slight confusion but waited for the dear Joy to reply.

Joy blinked as she locked eyes with Bird.
"I'm Joy." she said, smiling as she gave a soft nod towards Bird.
Now's my chance... Despair thought, before she said something.
Such a shame, hm? Imagine if you're family didn't abadon you, they'd all still be here. Imagine if you could show little Kyra this site? The little one would be so happy, and Ash would be so proud of you for finding this place.
Joy's eyes widened, before she felt a wave of unimaginable sadness wave over her, and soon, her body was covered in a blinding light. When the light died down, and Bird would be able to see the fae infront of him, the wolf he just saw wouldn't be the same.
The soft tan fur bled to the darkest shade of black, the broken heart under Joy's right eye morphed into a deep red tear drop. The brown color on her maw, ears, and tail faded away and were replaced with a blood red color, matching her paws.
Despair gave a sick grin, lashing her blood red tail as she dug her black claws into the earth.
"Aha, finally got out of the hell-hole. Why, you must be Bird. I guess little Sunshine didn't introduce me yet, hm? Well, I'm Despair." Despair said, an crazy grin on her maw.
Despair! Let me out! You have no right to take over like that! No right? Why, I think the right is all mine. I didn't ask to be stuck in your mind, love. Oh no, you're not getting out. I haven't gotten out for /moons/, so I'll have my fun before you even see the light of day, Sunshine.
