A song broke out far and wide as a pair of faes howled together. They were wandering, but wishing dearly for a pack. Their names were Melody and Lyric.
Melody was a silvery grey wolf, with a music note marking on her left hind leg. Melody is a rather depressed wolf, mourning the loss of her pack, mate, son, and brother-in-law. The fire destroyed them all. She had seen it.
Or rather, she had seen some of it. Melody only saw her mate die, and she saw her cub being whisked away by his uncle. She feared they would die, and she fleed for her own life. How stupidly selfish of her.
Melody pondered if they were still alive occasionally, but would then remember that the fire had destroyed the entire pack. Who's to say it hadn't destroyed them too?
Lets go back to after and during the fire for a second, shall we? To discover the history of Melody...
Melody looked back to see Lupe screaming in terror of being swallowed by the flames. She tried to save him, she dashed up to the spot, but he was gone. The flames had taken him.
Melody left the pack that day, never to be seen again. She was positive, all pack members were dead. Or were they? A young wolf was found by Melody the next day. Who was this fae? Melody asked her if she was one of the pack. She wasn't. Lyric was soon Melody's travel companion, over the next year they continuously searched for Melody's pack, but no one was found. They searched for a new pack to join, yet none were joined.
Let us move on to Lyric. The young grey wolf is typical, yet knows that somehow she and Melody are connected. How does she know? The music note on Melody's left hind leg was also on Lyric's right hind leg.
Her history is unknown, she tells no one of how she came here. The only clue she gave anyone, was that she came from a song. She never said what song, or how, just that she came from a song.
Lyric wonders what it is like to be in a pack. She was never in one, yet wishes to be. She always wandered alone. Now she's two years old, grown into a beautiful fae, and happy enough to travel with Melody.
Lyric knows the secret of the two music notes. She says that it means that a howl will sound on the day that they find what they are looking for, but they must look together. The one thing about Lyric's history that is known is that her mother was a fortune teller, and told her this.
Is the secret true? Can it help them? Are there other connections between the two faes?
