Braeden lifted his head and his gaze to rest it on amaris.
I guess we've both had our lives messed up due to our parents.
he spat the last word out as if it would burn him
Parents.
he spat angrily.
They don't pay any attention to what their kids want anymore.

.::Amaris::.
"True."
She said solemnly.
"If I was ever a parent I'd never interfere...but thats probably not going to happen now that Rowland's..."
Her voice quavered and she cut off her sentence as she said his name. She hadn't said it since th day he died, the day he was slaughtered mercilessly by the evil pack...by order of her parents. A few tears welled in her optics, but she blinked furiously, determined not to embarass herself even more infront of Braedan.

+ Braeden +
Braeden saw Amaris's tears and all thoughts of playing dirty tricks on the femme like he had done to so many before her instantly evaporated.
If I was a parent I'd never interfere with what my pups were doing.
he said softly, thinking of his father.
Messing with pup's lives allways brings trouble. Death. Misunderstanding.

.::Amaris::.
"Yes...yes..."
She said softly, looking into his facade, wishing she had a different subject to talk about. It seemed to calm her, being here. But it brought back the memories somewhat stronger in her mind. Maybe that was a good thing, thinking about the memories would help rid them. But no matter what happened, she would never be able to forget Rowland. And she was sure Braedan felt the same way about Paperstream...
Wishing for an engaging conversation, away from death, she gazed at him with a slightly tilted cranium, pondering on what a peculiar character he was.

Braeden could sence that Amaris wanted to draw the conversation away from death, so his mind quickly reeled to something else. He tumbled through his dark thoughts, trying to think of something to say.
( -flicks through books before her for ideas- Come on, ideas for conversation, ocme to Mischief! Oooh, I like this part of the bok... -reads- )

.::Amaris::.
Her optics swivelled to view the beauty of the shimmering creek as a thick ray of light tore through the clouds and struck the smooth waters, revealing it in its true glory. Her plume wavered slightly and she smiled to herself, pondering on how the beauty of nature can heal even the most battered souls.
She got up and stretched, her back arched, claws flexing, as a chilly turrent of wind swept through the calm area, reaching deep through her fur and tingling her skin, reminding her of the warning season near ahead.
"Winter's coming."

Braeden nodded simply.
I like winter.
he said placidly to Amaris.
It makes wolves retreat into their dens and everything looks like its been turned into a frozen tundra of icy cotages of awesomenes.

.::Amaris::.
She blinked, tail wavering slowly from side to side.
"Do you?"
She paused.
"I like summer or spring best really. I don't like the cold. But winter is good I guess, you can spend more time in your den, snug and safe. But...I guess it would be better if you had someone to spend it with."

Braeden nodded.
It would be.
he stated.
Autumns nice, though. Only a slight chill. It's....nice. But winter's more peaceful.

.::Koen::.
His burning optics of silver glinted with maleovance, a stony leer set upon his handsome facade. She was near, he could smell her. With a male. Looks like he'd need to get rid of this one too. Just like Rowland. It was strange, how this bethrothed mate of his kept finding males. For the majority of fae's don't start a family until later life, and Amaris had just turned three.
He stopped, the crunching of the leaves under his paws cut silent as he saw her finally through the thicket. There she was, beautiful, glossy multi fur shining and clean, with the male opposite. Koen snickered quietly to himself, optic's widening in his triumph. He looked frail to him, he could take him down easily...
He had it all planned out in his sharp, twisted mind. He would keep downwind, and sneak up behind the male. But since the two were opposite each other it posted a problem, one of them were bound to smell him. Silently his sharp mind raced to possible conclusions, his evil snarling glare fixatated on the brute and Amaris as he to his made major adjustments to his plan.

An eerie, omnious feeling crept upon Braedcen's spine. He looked around, and he kept thinking that something seemed out of place. Something seemed different. He looked to the side again, his eyes flickering back and fourth as he searched for the source of the onious-ness.
Whatever it was, something was wrong. He could tell.

Ooc:// Oops, I nicked your colour...sorry...
.::Amaris::.
She began to feel Braedan's uneasiness, he was becoming more tense, checking around him like someone was about to spring at him from somewhere. It wasn't until after she asked:
"Is there something wrong?"
That she began to feel it herself. Something in the atmosphere...just didn't feel right. She no longer felt alone with Braedan, she could sense it. Someone was watching them. Her tassel shifted across the thinning grass uneasily, and her cyan optic's tried to hide a pained expression unsucessfully.

( Don't worry! Braeden and I lived. )
+ Braeden +
Braeden stopped looking around, trying to shrug off the ever-there omnious feeling that clung to the air like frost. He looked at Amaris.
Something doesn't....feel right. It's like there's this omnious feeling in the air. But...I just can't place where it's coming from.
He got up adn slowly walked around in circles, lookg around the creek, trying to find the source that was making them feel so uneasy.
