.::Koen::.
Damn, they had noticed his prescence. His silver-tipped plume flicked silently in annoyance, chrome optics searching wildly for an idea, his brain suddenly clicked when he rested on the small cliff type structure on the side of the creek. If he could get on top of that, and launch himself off of it, they would have no idea what was happening. Perfect.
He rose carefuly, and darted through the thicket in an arch shape. Bodice held low to the ground, paw softly padding the earth with care, although it was difficult to hide the noise with the crunchy autumn leaves littering the ground.
Quietly, oh ever so quietly he crept up the slope at the top. The lush healthy grass was much easier to hide, avoiding the littered leaves and choosing the clear patches of grass to step on.
He crouched at the top. With a good view but just out of sight of the two wolven beneath, a smirk of utter malice and victory painted across his facade and the slits which were eyes.
He would make his move when the time was right.

( -thinks of something to say-
Hrrr..... GOT IT! )
+ Braeden +
The soft crunching of leaves awoke his presence back to the feeling again. He looked around, yet he spotted nothing. He knew this couldn't be his imagination. Amaris felt it too.
Someone's here.
he said softly.
But...I don't see anyone.

.::Amaris::.
Amaris bit her lip, her optics growing wide and fearful.
"Sh...should we move?"
She said quietly, checking all around her again. For once she felt she needed Braedan's reassurance and company.
.::Koen::.
He cursed under his breath quietly, optic's narrowing to slits as he shrunk down further. If they moved, his plan would be useless. Also, another dilemma struck him hard in the facade. If he went for the male, and killed him, Amaris would be off like a flash, her agility once more getting the better of him. Therefore he would be back to square one again. Would it be worth it to take the gamble?
He wouldn't let it happen.
No.
Possibly.
Maybe he didn't love her?
He'd take the risk.
He'd go for Amaris first.

Braeden saw the fear in her wide eyeds and nodded. Whatever it was was looking at both of them,. And if he left to escape it, he'd take Amaris with him. Despite his dark nature, he'd need reasurance and company as much as her.
Yes.
he spoke softly.
We should.

.::Amaris::.
With a final nod she stood up to leave, wondering however the tranquile, silent little chunk of the creek they had idley chatted in could have turned so dark, fearful and mysterious in such a short space of time. It seemed the wind changed direction suddenly, and she turned her cranium as the breeze swept her facade, catching a genourous helping of the scent she feared most in the world.
It was him.
The scent of him was strong and powerful, mixed with frighteningly familiar scents.
Her mother, her father.
Her friends, Leroah, and Sadannah.
The smell of unknown pups.
She could smell blood.
His blood.
She would know it until the day she died.
It was Koen.
He was back.
Horror-striken, she turned to Braedan, her breathing heavy and unatural, optic's moist and beyond fearful.
"Its him."
She choked out, before breaking up and screaming.
"Braedan! Quickly! WE'VE GOT TO RUN!"
.::Koen::.
No.
This couldn't be happening.
Not now.
His maw was stretched into a terrible grimace, yellowish ivories sharp and cutting, like a row of sharp zig-zag patterns. He wanted to wait a bit longer, but now it seemed he had no choice. Letting his frustration burst out, his opened his maw to let a long evil snarl boom, saliva drooling from the sides of his maw. He leapt from the top of he cliff, his silver eyes hatred and powerful in his frustration.

Thanks for the newsflash, Captain Obvious!
he said to Amaris, his eyes flashing.
He started backing away slowly, glaring at Koen, his dark eyes narrowed gravely.
Run WHERE, exactly?
he asked, now practically running backwards.

.::Amaris::.
"Just...just...just run! Run anywhere I don't care, he'll kill you if he gets the chance!"
She yelled, calling over her shoulder as she ran. Noticing he had turn to face him, she pedalled backwards, despair on her facade as she ran.
It wasn't going to happen a secound time.
((Ugh...short. Gotta go.))

Whatever then!
Braeden said, and turned and ran after Amaris, leaping over a few large stray rocks on the ground. He ran fast enough to gain up to Amaris, now matching her strides.

Ooc:// Aw! Braedan's a right little hero! *Squeezes*
.::Koen::.
Raising his cranium to the heavens, he let out such a rageful snarl that was more so like the lions roar, saliva oozing from the corners of his maw as his hate and fury was cried out through that snarl. He lowered, dashing after the escaping two, his silver optics blazing like cold steel flames in their depths.
.::Amaris::.
She was panicking. Her heart was thudding so much in her chest, she knew she'd probably outwitt Koen with her agility, but she didn't know if Braedan would.
A tsunami of relief swept over her bod as she saw the dazzilingly white bod beside her, matching her strides, perfectly in time and fast. Maybe they were going to get away after all.
.::Koen::.
Hate rose up inside him. It made him feel sick as he watched the two run, matching strides perfectly in time. He bared his teeth more, letting out a sickening growl as he advanced faster, the hate and fury for this male bubbling up inside and urging him faster.

Run.
That was all he was thinking as me matched Amaris stride ofr stride, leaping over the occasional rocks and reeds. Eventually they'd have to turn around when they reached theend of Pewter Creek, turning them into a circle back around. And if Koen noticed that and BRaeden couldn't find away to escape with Amaris, Koen could just stop where he was now and wait for them to circle back around. He had to tell Amaris his theory.
Amaris!
he whispered.
When we get to the edge of the creek we have to keep on going. If we stay here we'll just go around in a circle and if Koen realizes that then he mihgt as just stop where he is because we'll have to circle around eventually.
he explained as quickly and quietly as he could, for he was running so fast.
So when we get to the edge of the creek, we might as well skip the borderand go into uncharted lands. You getting my drift?

.::Amaris::.
Cranium turned, her panic-stricken optics fearful and nervous. Still, she nodded vigourously like a small pup. She felt depending on him, no way did she ever imagine she'd be facing Koen again. Never in a million years.
.::Koen::.
He gave another sickening howl, ivories gleaming pale and blood-thirsty, the rage like a fire burning him up inside. He charged forward, evil smirk painted 'pon his mug, platinum orbs sharp like knives and dancing manically. He reached her, nipping her heels.
.::Amaris::.
She shrieked, swishing her tail wildly and finally knocking him in the facade. Howver, it didn't do much.

He knew he couldn't do much to the male without turning around and stopping his run. But he had allready started on Amaris, and Braeden was torn between running and spinning around and scratching Koen. Koen was gaining on them. He had to decide.
New plan, Amaris.
he panted, trying to run faster,
Just RUN!

.::Amaris::.
"Thanks for the newsflash, Captain Obvious!"
She copied, half laughing, half crying. She wanted to whip around and scratch Koen hard. But she couldn't she couldn't. She she couldn't let Braedan either.
She didn't know what he was going to do. So bursting with speed, she dodged rocks and boulders randomly spat on the creek side, trying to lose him. She could feel he had pierced the skin on her ankles and tail slightly, the sharp little pains around the back of her legs and the hot liquid pumping throughout. Still, she had to keep going.
.::Koen::.
Deep, nasty growls erupted from his throat. He had no choice. Amaris was going to out run him sometime. He had to start on the male.
He snarled, using great strides to catch up with him, racing and racing, silver stone's fixated on his dazziling white plume flying behind him. If only he could reach that....
His ivories bared, he bit down on the soft white fur, crimson staining it. A smirk was painted across his maw as he clung on, the taste he savoured filling his maw.

Braeden was about to retort snapishly when he felt pain sear through him. He let out a sharp gasp of pain and wriggled himself free, violent flashes of anger twisting around his eyes and blocking out all other emotion. A large growl ripped frm his vocal cords. The beige strips on his legs suddenly flashed to black, reflecting his emotion. He shot forward, barreling into Koen, knocking him over and slamming him into a rock. He then raced back as fast as he could while bleeding and over to Amaris, reaching back up to her and matching her strides once more.
I'm not ENTIRELY sure how long that's going to hold, but, in the meanwhile, if you're going to use my retorts, say them with some feeling!

.::Koen::.
He let out a quiet gasp of pain as his back slammed against the rock, the throbbing agony pulsing through his veins and blood. He closed his eyes, believing he was dying. Maybe he was wrong in thinking the male was weak after all. The taste of blood was still sharp and warm against his tongue, and he could feel it pulse and stain his fur around an open wound on his hind leg.
.::Amaris::.
She yelped with joy as Braedan caught up, Koen preoccupied behind them. Silently she grinned, matching his strides and her eyes glittering. They were going to get away after all. She noticed his bravery, the state of his tail ripped and savaged by Koen's teeth. She felt his pain for a secound, before turning her view back to the front of her, where a tight woodland was visible. Perfect cover.
