Asha, paws crossed, placed her head atop them. She held no evidence that Adair's sudden change in temperament was genuine. Thus far, no sign of kindness had been put forth until recent.
Asha truly trusted naught. Adair, well, he was no exception. Ashen pelt blended smoothly with the shadows cast upon the ground where she lay.
As all skeptics would in such a case, Asha watched him from her peripheral vision with utmost suspicion, gaze intent. Why the wolf was so persistant unnerved her slightly. He would be better off pestering some other she-wolf.

o{ Adair }o
Silver eyes glaring at the female watching him with such suspicion, Adair gave a sudden grunt of annoyance, flicking his gaze out to glare, now, at the downpour, as the faintest cough of thunder sounded in the distance, making a smirk slash across his expression, intense hatred for the world glowing in his eyes.
Flame-patterned, zebra-striped legs shifting, muscles rippling beneath black fur, beige ears standing erect on his skull as silver gaze gazed out at the watery world, beige muzzle hosting a malevolent smirk.
He may not love the rain, but he did love storms.

Content, Asha snuggled closer to the trunk of the tree, finding a more comfortable position to lay. The rain fell in thick sheets outside of the forest, the ground hardly had enough time to absorb the liquid before more fell.
A sigh escaped her maw as she watched the great Elodara Loch creep up the bank little by little. Ears perked, intent on listening to her surroundings, she gazed around. Her den should be protected for now, but what of it if the Loch were to flood into the woods at some point?
The answer was easy, her home and pack lands would be practically destroyed, unless she was lucky. The thought dampened her mood a bit, but the fact that she'd be stuck with Adair for company pushed her mood down further.

o{ Adair }o
Ceasing to watch the endlessly-falling rain, Adair lifted himself to his feet, smirking and walking easily over to Asha, tail flicking amusedly at his rear, ears perked up and a lazy smirk slashing across his face.
"Looks like its going to flood."
He commented drily, sitting back on his haunches beside the Alphess, flashing her a cruel smirk, and ignoring whether she wanted him there or not- he wanted to sit there, next to her, and that was that in his opinion.

"You're right, it does."
Her bushy ebony tail flicked in agitation as Adair sat so close. A low snarl was uttered at his daring move. She made an attempt at pushing him further away from her.
A small, thin, line of water trailed down the bark of the tree, soaking a patch of Asha's dark fur. A shiver passed through her body at the sudden cold sensation.
The challenges of the day just kept coming as if testing her patience. Her calm demeanor wavering slightly.

o{ Adair }o
Smirking across at the female at the low snarl she uttered, ears flicking amusedly as he shifted slightly closer; shifting closer twice for every one time she tried to push him away, with the end result behind his muzzle held dangerously close to her's.
"Look, Asha, darlin', you should learn to play the game."
He murmured with a smirk, muzzle opening and allowing for his tongue to slide across the bridge of her muzzle, a harsh bark of laughter escaping his throat, ringing in his ears and resounding around the leafy area.

"As irresistible as I am, you come across as quite desperate."
A smirk emerged upon her features before she grinned maliciously. She was sure her comment would agitate him. She shifted her body from its curled up position.
An idea crossed her mind for a moment. Play the game? Well, if he insists, Asha thought. She grinned, lifting her head before gently licking Adair's muzzle twice.

"Desperate? Nah, just bored."
Adair smirked, after speaking his response to her comment, tail flicking amusedly at the contact of her tongue against his muzzle- not once, but twice, too.
"Besides, there's nothing else to be doing right about now, what with us about to be flooded and all."
Nodding in a mock-grave manner, he smirked, before dipping his muzzle down and trailing his tongue amusedly across her skull, nipping sharply at her nape after his tongue left her fur.

Asha still considered him desperate, but why bother voicing her thought out loud? She had taken a slight liking to the arrogant and manipulative wolf, despite his long list of qualities that annoyed her.
The company of the eccentric Adair was better than none at all. He posed a challenge that intrigued her.
Sitting up upon her haunches, lightly growling before she nudged him with her muzzle, lifting her gaze back to watch the slowly rising water. His mock concern for the land did not go unnoticed. She was worried about the amount of damage a flood would and could possibley cause to the Loch.
There wouldn't be any other land that wasn't already taken if a flood were to get out of hand.

o{ Adair }o
Catching her left ear in his jaws, Adair deliberated over handing the same action to Asha as he had done to Camilla, then decided, after a few seconds' thinking, not to, and parted his jaws to allow the thin skin of her ear to simply drop out of the sharp grasp he had held it in, for the briefest of moments.
"Will you stop concentrting on the flood. Its all destined to happen, anyway!"
A snarl of irritation accompanying the secret he had spoken, Adair pushed himself away from her, snapping his jaws to clear his mind of the annoyance pounding within- he wasn't supposed to have told her of the flood that was due to happen shortly.
"Bloody hell."

Asha's ear twitched a few times, being as sensitive as they were, as he pulled away.
"Well bloody hell to you too, but it's better than concentrating on your mood swings."
Asha carefully eyed Adair, illuminated optics brimming with curiosity. Adair was an odd wolf, one she just couldn't seem to figure out. Like a puzzle lacking a few pieces, never to be completed.
Pushing herself to her feet she shook her fur, walking over to where Adair had moved.
"There are dens among the woods, I'm sure you'll find one to take shelter in."
Her gaze hardened, body poised and her dominant demeanor taking over. It was about time she took shelter in her own den before the flood raged into the woods.

o{ Adair }o
A snort of derisive laughter escaped his throat at the dominance ringing in her tone, amusement flashing across his features, and settling, sharpening said features, silver eyes watching her as though she was an idiot.
"How stupid are you, wolf? A flood is destined to hit the land, idiot. The entire land. That means no life anywhere."
Shaking his head furiously, body lifting and pointing towards a more sourthern direction.
"The only way anyone is going to survive is if they head to the outlands."

She sighed in both annoyance and frustration. Her plans to leave him behind were not working out the way she would have liked them to.
Snorting she began to walk away from him, hoping this time he wouldn't follow her, or maybe if he did she could lead him to death.
She moved through the trees and brush, weaving her path through. Another land, another danger to move from. No pack she'd been apart of so far had been saved from any fierce natural disaster. Was that to be her end as well?

o{ Adair }o
"Wait one bloody second."
His voice a low snarl of pure, unadulterated annoyance, Adair turned sharply, leaping after Asha, paws striking her back and pushing her over onto the ground, his own figure standing above her, glaring down furiously at the female.
"You are such a stupid female! And stubborn as the Devil himself- and I should know."
Furiously, he spat down at her face, before his muzzle tipped up to the heavens.
"You are not leaving me to die."
He hissed, quite indignant that she would try to abandon his presence at a time like this.

She had ignored his first comment, continuing her path between the thick forest brush. The weight suddenly being pushed upon her back, forced her body to the cool earth roughly.
"Stupid? Huh, how so? I think I was doing the world a favor really."
Her gaze was set in a menacing glare, venom dripping from every word.
"Really? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't let you die here?"
Her anger coarsed through her blood rapidly, but she kept her self calm.
